The game is very cool, the Disney drawings, the level designs and for the price you really can't say anything great game but the boss fights are very difficult in some places and bring one or the other freak out but it's definitely a lot of fun and that's on long time
  • disney drawings
  • nice level design
  • hard boss fights

This is a remake of the NES game. It has updated graphics, music and voice acting! It's beautiful and plays very much like the original from 25 years ago! Highly recommended if you are on a nostalgia kick.

  • Voice acting from the original actors
  • Some sequences repetitive
  • Can't skip cutscenes

I loved Duck Tales when I was younger, so when I got this game over the summer as part of a "SONY Play" promotion I was ecstatic. So ecstatic, in fact, that I beat the game in about two hours.

Duck Tales is an exemplary platformer with varied worlds and incredible characters and beautiful music. Even though all the art and music is redone and voice acting is introduced, there's still a ton of nostalgia to go with the game. If you played the original, you'll probably find yourself remembering which nooks and crannies to explore.

Though the game is extremely short, with only 5 worlds, there is a decent amount of replay value. There are TONS of unlockables (old art sketches, the old music & new music, new concept art, character art, etc.) You 'buy' these unlockables with the money you earn in-game as Scrooge McDuck. Unfortunately, you can't go right to the 'good unlockables,' you need to unlock a bunch of the more 'lame' ones first. For instance, you can't start unlocking the music until you've unlocked a bunch of the art.

While I really enjoy the levels in the game, I have my limits. I was pretty burnt out on Duck Tales after about 3 play throughs and haven't had any desire to go back to it since. I got through about 2/3 of the unlockables and decided it wasn't worth it to try for the rest.
  • remembering when I was a Kid
  • updated graphics
  • little bit repetitive
  • no way to save progress
