Set in a parallel universe created by the suddenly appearing Serpent King Orochi, the "WARRIORS OROCHI" series consists of tactical action games where heroes from both the "DYNASTY WARRIORS" series and "SAMURAI WARRIORS" series join the action.
This title offers all the content of "WARRIORS OROCHI 3", as well as new characters designed by popular illustrator Akihiro Yamada ("Beast of East - Touhou Memairoku" and "The Twelve Kingdoms" [binding and illustrations]) joining battles and new episodes, which will allow players to enjoy the story even more deeply.
In addition, it also includes numerous elements such as "Duel Mode", which fuses elements of versus battles and card battles, the new "Gauntlet Mode", which allows players to enjoy party battles, and a great number of DLC items that have already been released for other platforms!

In addition to the heroes of "DYNASTY WARRIORS" and "SAMURAI WARRIORS", "Kyūbi" and "Tamamo" characters designed by Akihiro Yamada, and more, the 145 unique heroes are a must-see!
An ensemble of characters across various titles join the spectacular battles, such as Kasumi from "DEAD OR ALIVE 5", Sterkenburg Cranach from the "Atelier of Arland" series, and Sophitia from the "SOULCALIBUR" series.
■New episodes and sub-scenarios deepen the story!
A "Sequel Story" to the main story "The Slaying of the Hydra" is added. Also, the mystery of the parallel world is revealed in a "Prequel Story" that uncovers the secret of Orochi's birth. Sub-scenarios such as hypothetical battles and battles that unfold from different perspectives enrich the story, allowing players to enjoy the heroic drama of the world of "WARRIORS OROCHI 3" even more deeply.
■Enjoy party battles with game modes such as "Gauntlet Mode"
"Gauntlet Mode" has been included, allowing players to form parties of 5 people and take part in thrilling battles. Other game modes include the 3-on-3 "Duel Mode", which fuses versus battles with card battles, as well as "Musou Battlefields" that provide players with more freedom.
■Enhanced actions for maximum exhilaration!
The 3-person team battles have been further evolved. Combo moves have been enhanced, including "Triple Rush", a series of 3-pronged attacks, "Changing Battle Styles", an attack where all 3 playable characters perform an all-out attack, and "True Musou Burst", an ultimate attack that up to 6 characters perform. Existing actions have been adjusted to give players the most exhilarating experience.

I’ve seen reviews of this game from few places. This game is said to be a port from another device, but with some missing DLCs and at the least, you can play it on 60 capped FPS plus with controller support. This is the first Orochi title I’ve played and some can complain on the rendering distances, but coming from a Samurai Warriors 1 fan from the Xbox Original, I find it fine as is. Only downside would be that the game doesn’t have any English dub so there’s lots of reading involved. Combat is nostalgic depending on what game struck you during childhood. I find most of the characters that I’ve played back in Samurai Warriors 1 to be the same as I always remembered them to be. From nostalgic music, costumes, characters (playable to non-playable), and most importantly the voices and move sets. Getting to play the game for the first 14 hours and growing made me smile in some parts of the story whereas my most favorite characters I get to see mentioned, or get to unlock. Other than that, the game has a level up system where you grind up to level 100 and start over, but when starting over, you gain additional slots and a promotion star. You can also select certain stats to be boosted as they your next promotions. With 145 characters you can collect from both the Samurai & Dynasty games. If you like hack and slash genre of games that make you feel like an unstoppable god that destroys anything in their way, you might as well try it yourself.
TLDR: The game plays like those older Samurai Warriors games (at least that’s the only one I played), but now with 60 FPS and more modes, characters, new gameplay mechanics.
Think I’m a bit too biased for this post, but feel free to watch reviews if you’re mixed on either buying or passing it.

- Contains content that is VERY nostalgic from older or previous titles
- New gameplay mechanics and modes
- City of Flowers soundtrack
- Only if you’re not into grinding
- Gauntlet mode is ok, but focused towards fully built teams
- Rng system when it comes to what appears in the store especially if crystals are involved
