Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a business management simulation game and also a ‘disaster management game’ according to the creators. And understandably so, given the whole risky premise of the franchise! This game is the sequel to Jurassic World Evolution and a follow-on to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
About the Game
Set in the neo-Jurassic age, you are tasked with constructing a Jurassic Park-themed ground. It must be complete with retail outlets, rides and up to 75 prehistoric species from pterosaurs to ancient marine creatures to outright dinosaurs. The animals will all need enclosures, aviaries and/ or lagoons which must be kitted out with the right types of flora and fauna to keep them happily and safely ensconced in their tailor-made enclosures.
Many of the animals are also highly territorial and will fight for resources if they are allowed to become hungry or needful of anything. They will stake out self-claimed territories within shared pens and these borders can shift depending on their needs and the conditions inside the pens so you will need to be watchful. The AI controlling the prehistoric creatures now has more in-depth detail, allowing the animals to work co-operatively, move in herds and so on.
As well as the animals, you must devote time and resources to research and experimentation to make sure customers want to visit. This means building laboratories and recruiting scientists to keep the animals new and interesting. Do keep your workers sweet too: if they become disgruntled, overworked or underpaid, they’ll sabotage your park, release the animals and generally make themselves a bit of a nuisance in a way familiar to Jeff Goldblum…
You will also need to recruit rangers and vets to look after the animals, as well as building exciting and inviting rides to keep the customers happy.
In this game, you have a choice of biomes: forest, deserts and more, which gives you both more of a challenge and more opportunities than the original game which offered one landscape type only.
The Nitty Gritty
In order to recreate a species, you must extract the DNA and then incubate the resulting creature. You can ‘edit’ the DNA, imparting disease resistance and other unique traits – but do be careful not to make a super-beast that might become too smart and strong for your control!
The whole game requires a delicate balance of intrigue and safety. Achieving and then maintaining that balance is an absorbing and immersive experience. Bear in mind, always: when it seems to be going well it is time to be extra wary! You are surfing on the very edge of the catastrophe curve and it does not take much at all to make it all come tumbling down about your ears!
Uniquely in this game, you are not confined to the park, you can explore the surrounding landscape, giving the game a nicely sandbox vibe for those mindful moments when you need to escape from annoying scientists and annoyed customers!
Your daily activities will include hunting down wild dinosaurs, tracking them using their tracks, poop and damage caused until you find and neutralise the threat – or it escapes and you have to try and relocate it as soon as you possibly can! If it goes well, you whistle up your helicopter, sedate the creature and take it back to your park, where you begin to look after it. But don’t expect gratitude from these rescues – they would much rather eat you!
Ways to Play
There are four ways to play the game, namely:
Campaign Mode – continues the story arc from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and has you rounding up some of the now genuinely wild dinosaurs as well as completing other tasks too
Chaos Theory Mode – revisits the key moments of the franchise giving you the chance to see how things would play out differently if different choices were made
Challenge Mode – gives you a series of challenges to complete as fast as you can
Sandbox Mode – explore your surroundings, do some research and try out new and exciting rides that you have just built. Typical sandbox fun
Jurassic World Evolution 2 takes you back to the tropical islands where men played God – and very nearly won!
Love the Game, it was very easy to get it to my steam account. Thanks for the mega discount. I was only allowed to buy it here because the normal price is not possible for me right now. And i wanted this game so badly. Thank you so much.
I stare at the numbers and my eyeballs know calm like nothing else.
This game scratches all the same itches that games like Factorio, Frostpunk, and IXION do. If you enjoy any of those games, you'll certainly enjoy JWE 2.
I would recommend getting the Dominion bundle, which includes the two campaign DLCs. The rest can be bought piecemeal as desired. If you go for the everything-bundle, wait for it to go on sale, as much of the content is simply .
On its surface the game seems very simple but if you really want a good park it gets really hard but that is very fun you need to accomadate the dinos needs as best as you can but once youy get a hang of it you will find the game very rewarding
Great game! Fully worth it. Easy buy and good price. If you like the Jurrasic Park/world series it is great to create your own park. It's a gane where you can jump on for an hour, or spend a good few hours!
nice game its very fun yes you can buld zoo like in the game zoo you can have flying birds that are hungry so you mneed to feed them and you need to have old enough so you can make good decisionn thank you
Can't save my game. When I become to play I can't save any of my campaigns. Error of save. I have space on my disk so it's not on me. I tried to uninstall and install again but the problem is still here
Its a fanstatik game can really recomend playing it if your like having dinosours or like parks. You kan use so meny houres on this hame and not get bored with it. Its fun and can be a little hard to play. I really to recomend it :)
This Is A Very Good Tycoon Game . I Strongly Recommend This Game If You Like Dinosaurs Or Are A Jurassic Fan . The Deluxe Upgrade Is Worth It It's Only A Few Euro's More Expensive . Worth It If You Ask Me .
The New Modes Are Great And The Campaign Is Very Good.
I loved this game, it has good graphics and if I'm a fan of the Jurassic Park saga but the animals and the realism are super original, I think it's a good follow-up to the first part, the only bad thing I saw is that the deluxe edition brings few things for what it costs.
I don't know why the game is called jurassic world evolution "2".
For me it seems more like an addon.
An addon that is too easy, crappy and expensive.
The "compelling new story" campaign includes 5 missions that are like a quarter tutorial and is finished in ~3h after you just capture dinos and build enclosures, thanks done.
The chaos theory missions are also a bad joke.
You can also forget the sandbox mode because you first have to unlock the dinos or the research in the campaign / chaos theory / challenge.
And I have absolutely no desire to get involved again in one of these 3 loveless ... no idea how to describe this big bull**it.
I am so disappointed.
The first part was so much better.
Edit:
Finally, they made the sandbox mode the way it should be.
Unfortunately, this doesn't change the fact that part 2 doesn't offer any challenge.
I also thought it was a bug but NO you can for example, keep 10 T-Rex without problems in the enclosure.
There is no limit that 1-2 or 3-9 dinos of the same species can live in the same enclosure ... no ... if it is at least 1 or 2 dinos of the same species ... and then you can pump dinos of the same species in the enclosure until it bursts.
So an enclosure with 20 T-Rex ... as an example ... that's bul**hit.
Tastes are thank god different but ... I do not understand that the game gets good ratings.
Are you already so easily entertained ?
I could sell you a colored used toothpick with food scraps on top and you would be thrilled.
And after the 20x in a different color and you would still cheer.
I have had my eye on this game for a while now. Looked at the pre-order on Steam being €70.- which was a bit expensive for me because I had just spent money on something else and didn't want to make this month a 'splurge month'.
Then I remembered I had an Instant-Gaming account where they sell keys often at discounted prices and of course this pre-order game was also at a discount. A great one I must say, 33% off!
Which brought the deluxe edition from €70 to €48! Which is a far more comfortable price considering recent purchases!
After purchase I got my key within seconds and my game was subsequently added to my Steam account flawlessly.
There's a bit of the world in your dinosaurs, The goats are the best of the game, it lacks sardines, chickens, and poultry, but nothing happens, is the best you can buy, totally exceeds the first in almost all aspects, if you wonder what is almost, I'm not going to tell you, discover it yourself. :)
