Acquistando l’esercito USF individualmente, i giocatori che non possiedono ancora nessun prodotto COH2 possono accedere alle mappe di Company of Heroes 2 con le partite classificate, e giocare contro tutte le fazioni esistenti in multigiocatore o tramite schermaglie contro l’IA.
Acquistando l’esercito TWFA o OKW/USF individualmente, i giocatori che non possiedono ancora nessun prodotto COH2 possono accedere alle mappe di Company of Heroes 2 con le partite classificate, e giocare contro tutte le fazioni esistenti in multigiocatore o tramite schermaglie contro l’IA.

Ogni esercito ha a disposizione opzioni tattiche distintive, nuove unità di fanteria, armi di squadra, veicoli, abilità e potenziamenti, su un totale di otto mappe multigiocatore stagionali, riguardanti il fronte occidentale. The Western Front Armies inoltre include un nuovo sistema di progressione che introduce del contenuto unico nel gioco e permette ai giocatori di immergersi ulteriormente nelle tattiche e nelle strategie del gioco.
