In 1986, the world's worst nuclear disaster occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Soviet authorities established an 'Exclusion Zone' around, but a second explosion hit the reactor in 2006, creating The Zone as we know it – dangerous place, filled with mutated creatures, deadly radiation, and a strange, anomalous energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who would shoot on sight anyone foolish enough to get inside. Year 2012. The Zone is still a dangerous place and a threat to all mankind. Mercenaries, bounty hunters and explorers ventured further and further into the heart of the Zone driven by reports of strange 'artifacts' imbued with anomalous energy. To sell them on the black market or trying to find the 'truth' behind the Zone. Whatever their motivation, over time these individuals - Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers - have become known as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s. You will have to find your own way to survive in the Zone!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is set in 2011, one year prior to the events of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. A group of stalkers, for the first time, reaches the very heart of the Zone-the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant-and triggers a cataclysm on the brink of a catastrophe. An immense blast of anomalous energy transforms the Zone: the once reliable and relatively safe roads are no longer so, the landscape is wiped clean by outbursts of anomalies, and previously unknown areas appear on the Zone map. Stalkers and expeditions perish or end up isolated within the lost territories. With the anomalous activity at its maximum, the unstable Zone continues to tremor with outbursts. The transformation of the Zone map destabilizes the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence flare up among groups. There are no more old enemies or friends - now, everyone watches out only for themselves. The Factions War has begun.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

With over 2 million copies sold, the new episode of the most internationally successful S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series seamlessly connects to the first part of the Shadow of Chernobyl. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat takes PC gamers once again into the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986. This so-called "Zone" is a highly contaminated area cordoned off by the military and now is combed through by the so-called stalkers, modern fortune hunters, in search of unique artifacts. In the role of Agent Alexander Degtyarev, who is dressed up as stalker, the player has to investigate the mysterious disappearance of five military helicopters and thereby stand one’s ground against the various stalker groups.

Un'ambientazione che ancora rimane una delle più suggestive, immersive e letali nell'intero universo videoludico, anche perchè proveniente da un accadimento che si è voluto enfatizzare in modo fantascientifico e renderlo ancora più spaventoso di quello che realmente la storia ci ha fatto conoscere.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. e tutti i titoli della serie sono un'esperienza unica, gameplay curato e difficile da padroneggiare, spesso frustrante, ma non appena si prende dimestichezza con le leggi della "zona" e i rituali dello Stalker veterano, allora il divertimento e la voglia di scoperta vengono a galla e ti portano in uno dei viaggi più affascinanti che potrai mai giocare.

Pentito amaramente di averli presi per scoprire che stanno per uscire tutti su tutte le piattaforme attuali con i comandi aggiornati mentre questo bundle è la vecchia versione con mouse e tastiera (gioco da legion go) e ora sarò costretto a ricomprarli dinuovo perchè una volta attivati i codici perdo il diritto al rimborso. Bellissimo gioco, in particolare il primo capitolo. Alto livello delle animazioni e del soggetto. Un mito, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. che ha ispirato la successiva serie di successo METRO (2033, Last Light, Exodus). Si viaggerà a piedi per tutto il tempo, nella zona interdetta di Chenobyl, e saremo prevalentemente da soli ad affrontare le varie insidie e i nemici, coi quali avremo a che fare. Un'esperienza unica che lascia il segno.
