FIFA 23 for PC is the latest in an immense line of football based games. This game continues the sterling work of previous games in the franchise and this includes the inclusiveness seen on the real field, with women’s teams making a strong appearance.
There are even domestic leagues, such as Barclays FA Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema, which will allow you to play through career mode as a female player for the first time.
Fittingly, Sam Kerr from Chelsea Ladies is the first female cover star of the franchise, although she does share the cover with the very worthy Kylian Mbappe from Paris St-Germain.
Cross platform play is supported so you can buddy up with your mates who are on different game consoles without losing any of the experience that you all love.
There are several modes of play, as might be expected. Ultimate Team will return, this time with a revamped chemistry system, while Career Mode will offer ‘a new way to play your season with Playable Highlights.’ Pro Clubs and Volta Football will also be playable so you can pick your favourite way to play and set to work.
This edition, FIFA 23 will be the last game in the franchise that is in collaboration between EA Sports and FIFA following a breakdown in negotiations over licensing – but it won’t be the last football game produced by EA Sports. Instead the focus will shift from real players and teams to imaginary ones. Or perhaps it will feature players and teams who sign up with EA Sports: not much is known about it as yet, except that it will be called EA Sports FC.
In the meantime, FIFA claim that they are looking to team up with a new developer to produce the ‘best’ footie game on the market – a totally new franchise that will bear the FIFA name. So while this game is the one you know and love, you might face a choice in the next year or so, when the former collaborators both come out with new, different games!
Gametime in the video game lasts only about 12 minutes of play, so the action is automatically pacier than in real life. Lengthy dribbles and volleys could easily eat into match time, otherwise!
Hypermotion, the super-detailed graphic feature, was left out of the last PC offer (in FIFA 22), which disappointed legions of footie fans, so the news that PCs have been kept as up to date as other consoles this time around is reassuring news, promising crisp and highly detailed play, even when there is a bit of a melee on the field.
Goalie animations and the feel and look of gameplay are also vastly improved thanks to detailed motion-capture (mo-cap). Long distance shots are vastly improved, adding a slightly arcade feel to your gameplay in places – but considering they allow you to pull off some incredible long-distance kicks, you aren’t going to mind that very much!
So, to summarise the new features, they include:
Two world cups to play through as you like
Two women’s domestic leagues, giving female players much more exposure and gameplay than previous iterations of the game
Hypermotion 2 technology for even more realistic gameplay. This is largely thanks to mo-cap being used from recording of two live matches for a genuinely authentic feel
A staggering 6,000 or so animations were added to the game – again from the real match recordings. This has dramatically improved play, with dribbling, volleys and player acceleration all noticeably improved on previous outings

It is simply a joke to release a game that does not even start for most users on PC and they expect us to pay more than 70€ for it. You dont need Kernel Level Anti Cheat for people who just want to play offline, how about you only force players who want to play Online to use your Anticheat software? First of all I want to say that my assessment has nothing to do with the instant-Gaming service, they do an excellent job.
I bought the game in reserve and today, September 30, 2022, I still haven't been able to play the game thanks to the magnificent idea of EA Games to add an anticheat to this title that literally doesn't let you play the game, that's why the negative argument.
Thank you instant gaming for making game prices a little more competitive and not having to adapt to the abusive policies of large companies like EA Games, since the only solution they give you is a new game coming out today September 30 of 2022 you have to be a consumer of its producer and have to manage to make your own game work, it seems to me a real shame that the game already goes wrong hours after its launch

The game doesn't work on PC because of their anti-cheat, which they haven't fixed yet, and it's been 13 days since the game was released. SHAME! I really don't understand how EA doesn't fix this. And let's mention that there have never been more cheaters in the game than now because they have already found a way to cheat half of them. FIFA has fallen to its lowest ebb.

Do not buy! EAAC doesn't let me launch the game for a few days now, and all in all, I only played 1 hour or so since it released. And when i tlaunched, the game performs badly, on a GTX 1660 Super! Unbelievable.
Sadly Instant Gaming can't refund me (hopefully they can see this message and try and find a solution for me since the game doesn't even launch!), feels like I wasted my money for nothing and I'd rather preorder NFS with that price.

EA Fix your stupid game. That's it, no more, you can not even play at all because of the Anti-cheat error... If you manage to make it work, then you'll have issues with framerate and all that, quite smart, yes.

Graphics looks WORSE, than a game from 2013 (im not kidding). Somehow, they made the game so poorly, that it must be the rendering quality and stuff, because even on ultra, this game looks like it runs in 720p. Abselout embarresment. Besides that, the fps stutters, again. Same thing every year. Cutscenes looks like a completly different thing, because they infact have the graphics you would expect, but it runs in 15 fps. Then it cuts back to the gameplay and you are greeted with a blurry, pixelated image. Can't wait for having to wait a month or more for these "game develepors" to fix this mess, yet again. No wonder why 2/3 people on Steam leaves a bad review.
Conclusion, in its current state, do NOT buy this game. Spend your money elsewhere

As for someone who only played FIFA 22, I am having more fun on 23. Yes It was a pain in the ahh to get it to lauch and the developers didn't even bother to fix it after 6 darn months.
But overall a decent game if you're not a hardcore FIFA enthusiast.
