Grand fan de la série des "Tales Of" et des RPG en général, c'est avec une certaine crainte que j'ai vu venir ce nouvel opus "spécial 20 ans".
Donc que dire de ce jeu ? Et bien il y a du bon et du moins bon à vrai dire.

L'histoire est comme a son habitude excellente, malgré quelques passages un peu prévisibles, mais on arrive aisément à se plonger dans l'univers fantastique de Zesteria grâce aux multiples personnages et à la quantité colossale de dialogues.

Niveau gameplay, rien de bien nouveau. Le système de combat est bien fait, même si la camera a parfois des difficultés à suivre les actions. Il faudra cependant attendre 2 à 3 bonnes heures pour assimiler toutes les mécaniques. Le système d'équipement est bien pensé, fini de jeter son équipent vétuste, et bonjour la fusion !

La grosse valeur ajoutée, c'est les cinématiques rendues en mode animés, qui il faut avouer, collent parfaitement avec l'ambiance. Malheureusement, un mauvais encodage du son est perceptible (Léger, mais une fois entendu, on a du mal a passer outre).

La difficulté est très bien dosée, du moment que le joueur fait des pauses "farming monstres" et le fait de revenir sur des zones déjà visités afin de les explorer avec les nouveaux pouvoirs acquis au fil du temps prolonge bien la durée de vie du jeu.

Niveau graphisme, et bien ça pique bien les yeux pour du 2015. Les décors sont plutôt vides et malgré la résolution élevée (2715 x 1727), on ne manquera pas de voir des gros pixels bien moches tout au long de l'aventure.

Donc pour résumer, ça reste dans la série des "Tales Of" avec une ambiance excellente et une histoire géniale. Les petits soucis de son et de caméra ne tarderons pas à être patchés (Je l'espère), ce qui laisse place au seul gros point faible du jeu, les graphismes.
Mais vu que le reste est hyper bien assemblé, on passera vite l'éponge dessus.

Je vous le conseille grandement, il vous donnera de très longues heures de jeu et vous plongera dans cet univers magnifique en vous faisant oublier la notion du temps !
