Un Soulslike en scroll lateral, con toquecitos de metroidvania. Muy conseguido, especialmente el movimiento, que en un juego de este estilo esperarías más tosco, se siente suave y preciso. Buenas opciones de equipo y muchas posibilidades a la hora de buildearte, con unos amplios árboles de habilidades. Por desgracia hay algunos logros que a día de hoy (9/5/25) son imposibles de conseguir, ya que algunos te piden objetos que no están en el juego (imagino que en futuros parches o posibles DLC's aparecerán). Por lo demás, lo recomiendo un montón.

Los creadores de The Messenger nos traen una obra inspirada en RPG's de los 90, como pueden ser Chrono Trigger o Golden Sun, conociendo perfectamente los puntos fuertes y débiles del género en aquella época. Con muchas pequeñas decisiones que nos hacen ganar en calidad de vida a la hora de jugar, tenemos un juego que va constantemente hacia arriba si flaquear, unos personajes muy interesantes, un combate súper dinámico (aún siendo por combate por turnos) y apartado artístico impoluto tanto en lo visual como en lo sonoro. Para mi, de momento, es mi GOTY de 2023. Una carta de amor hecha con muchísimo cariño al género y a su propia obra anterior, The Messenger.
