Shakes on a Plane is a chaotic party game in the vein of Overcooked, where players work together to serve passengers on a moving airplane. The game offers frantic multiplayer action, quirky humor, and a colorful art style. However, it suffers from clunky controls, inconsistent AI behavior, and a lack of polish compared to similar co-op titles. While it can be fun with friends, its rough mechanics and limited content make it less engaging for long-term play.

Balatro is a unique and addictive roguelike deckbuilder that puts a fresh spin on poker mechanics. Instead of traditional gameplay, it blends poker hands with strategic card upgrades, multipliers, and wild cards, creating deep and rewarding decision-making. The game's minimalist yet stylish presentation, combined with its high replay value, makes it an instant hit for fans of strategy and deckbuilding. However, its reliance on randomness, steep difficulty curve, and potential balance issues may frustrate some players. Still, Balatro stands out as an innovative and engaging roguelike.

The Ascent: Cyber Edition is an enhanced version of the cyberpunk-themed twin-stick shooter RPG, The Ascent. Set in a visually stunning, neon-drenched world, the game delivers fast-paced combat, deep RPG mechanics, and a gripping atmosphere. The Cyber Edition includes additional content, performance improvements, and DLCs, making it the definitive version. While the core gameplay is engaging, with satisfying gunplay and co-op options, it still suffers from occasional technical issues, repetitive missions, and a somewhat shallow narrative. Despite its flaws, it remains a solid choice for cyberpunk and action-RPG fans.

Prey: Mooncrash is an ambitious roguelike expansion for Prey (2017) that adds a fresh twist to the immersive sim genre. Instead of a linear story, it features a simulated moonbase where players control multiple characters, each with unique abilities and objectives. Every run changes due to dynamic enemies, hazards, and limited resources, forcing players to adapt. The interconnected nature of characters and their progress adds depth, making each run feel rewarding. While it’s an excellent blend of Prey’s mechanics with roguelike elements, the repetitiveness and steep learning curve may not appeal to everyone.

Battlefield 2042 launched with high expectations but faced a rocky start. The game introduced massive 128-player battles, dynamic weather effects, and a class-less Specialist system, but technical issues, lack of key features, and design changes alienated longtime fans. At launch, bugs, server problems, and missing content (such as a scoreboard and voice chat) frustrated players. Over time, DICE has improved stability, added maps, and reworked Specialists, making the game more enjoyable. However, it still struggles with identity issues, and some fans feel it lacks the depth of previous Battlefield titles.

The game is FANTASTIC! It's so nice to see a different take on the live service genre. This game has incredibly engaging co-op gameplay. Every mission is more fun with friends, heck even strangers in this case. The progression system feels so rewarding as well. It feels like you actually earned the medals and samples with a good fight whilst delivering managed democracy. Speaking of which I love the satirical tone of the game. It doesn't take itself seriously and I LOVE that. More games should be doing what Helldivers 2 is doing. However, like any game it does have some cons. The game does have some bugs (or a lot in some planets lol) which in some cases can break your game in others it's just a funny visual glitch. The missions may feel a bit repetitive after sinking in many hours which can be a turn off for some people. Lastly, the game does have a steep learning curve with it's difficulty slider actually making the game VERY difficult. Once you overcome that, it's just fun even in the hardest difficulty. This one is a must play for sure!

It's a breath of fresh air after 3 back to back RPG titles and especially Valhalla which is a disgrace to the franchise. This one has more stealth focused gameplay which is what these games should be about in the first place and I'm glad they made this the main focus. The game also has a rich historical setting which is something Assassin's Creed always managed to do well and this one is no different. It also has a more streamlined narrative. A tighter, more focused story that honors the franchise's origins. However, like any AC game this one doesn't come without its flaws. The combat is lacking depth. It's very bare bones which in a way it's good because it incentivizes the player to use the stealth mechanics instead. The protagonist, Basim can be perceived as a less compelling protagonist. Lastly, the AI is really not great. Even in the hardest difficulty the game is a piece of cake and the enemies are more often than not clueless to their surroundings. All in all, this is just another mediocre Ubisoft game.

It's a classic game. You have the creative freedom to do anything you want and the world is endless so you can explore forever. What makes this game fun though is the multiplayer aspect. Any game is better with friends and this one is no different. However the graphics are not the best. It's a 3D pixel game after so don't expect much from the visuals without mods. The gameplay can feel repetitive, a lot of the same grind needs to be done in order to gather recourses for your projects. Lastly, some people may encounter performance issues due to large builds, or a lot of entities loading in at the same time which can be worsen if you are playing the game using mods, texture packs and shaders. Despite that, I would recommend everyone play this game no matter what!
