Legendary game. Perfection.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (Classic, 2005)

This undoubtedly places #2 on my "TOP 5 Greatest Star Wars Games Ever Made" list. This game is something incredible, and unleashed my true potential. This game made me slam my table so hard that it cracked, this game made me shout at my father because he wasn't playing the game properly, and this game nearly got me sent to my local mental hospital. This game's campaign is similar to Republic Commando, you really get to experience the Clone Wars and the beginning of the Galactic Civil War from the perspectives of the clones themselves, allowing you to truly understand what war is like, and what has been happening to the clones off-screen during the movies and TV shows. This is what makes this game special. For example, thanks to this game, now we know what Aayla Secura was doing on Felucia during Order 66. Thanks to this game, we know why Ki-Adi Mundi was on Mygeeto during Order 66. The 501st Journal is the final puzzle piece to the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith novelization, allowing us to see the full perspective and image of Anakin's transition into Darth Vader, Order 66, and the clones' transition into Stormtroopers. Operation: Knightfall was something fantastic for me, especially the first line for the 501st Journal cutscenes for it. My reaction (i.e. screaming) when I got to play as hooded Anakin for the first time during the mission was a great contribution to my trip to the mental hospital. 10/10, and I can't wait for the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection.

Great remaster! In my previous Steam reviews, I said that I do not recommend the original 1995 Dark Forces due to the tragic DosBox problems and formatting and that I would just wait for this remaster. Well, I got this as soon as it was released. I've completed only 3 levels so far, but I must say that this is remarkable. The graphics are absolutely stunning for a 1995 DOOM-like game remaster and I admire the great work Nightdive Studios has done to elevate the cutscenes from pixelated sets of scenes to properly animated and drawn cutscenes. I'm also very glad that they finally added Steam achievements to this game. So far this year, this is probably one of the best things I could've spent my 10 dollars on. I'll give this game a 9/10 because the only problem with this game is that by the end of each play session, I feel like I'm about to have a seizure due to how fast-paced the game is.

VERY fun game. I'll immediately have to mention that this game's sequel, Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005), is way better than this, but this game also deserves a lot of credit. It has a great campaign that allows you to truly live through every great battle throughout the Star Wars story, has a very innovative interface, and has a variety of cool maps. Let me tell you, when I first played the Rhen Var: Harbour map, I was absolutely stunned by how huge and fun it was. I'm happy that they will add this map to Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005) in the new Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection in a few days. I can't wait to play as Darth Vader or Ki-Adi Mundi on it, and then ride the incredibly huge AT-AT for the first time in SW:BFII (2005). This game also has its own very cool exclusive game mechanics and features, such as being able to go prone, having insanely large maps to play on, and interface pleasing to the eye. I'm looking forward to playing this game in its full potential (i.e. upscaled graphics, revived and bigger multiplayer, local split-screen) in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection. 8/10, is pretty limited compared to its sequel, but is still a GREAT game.
