Ich bin mit den Resident Evil Spielen aufgewachsen, wovon der 2. eindeutig der beste Teil der Reihe ist Wobei der 4. auch seinen Charme hatte. Apropos Resident Evil 4. Dieses Spiel ist eine Mischung aus RE 7 (Grafik, Spielmechanik und Protagonisten) und RE4 (Gegner, Location und Waffen). Das Spiel geht einfach da weiter wo RE 7 aufgehört hat. Es gibt einige spielerische Erneuerungen, wie etwa neue Waffen, die Upgrade-Funktion von Waffen und Sprengstoff. Außerdem kann man zum ersten Mal Munition beim Händler kaufen. Die Story ist meiner Meinung nach viel zu schnell erzählt und einfach nicht mitreißend genug. Deine Tochter wird entführt. Ok! Wieder ist ein "Pilz" in seiner Mutation dein Feind. Ok! Deine Hand wird wieder mal abgetrennt. Ok! Du fällst 100 Meter in die Tiefe. Ok! Jeder Gegner ist dir bei WEITEM überlegen, aber du tötest alle mit einer Pistole. Ok! Und zu guter Letzt. Du fliegst im Sonnenuntergang dem Ende entgegen....Einfallsreichtum. CAPCOM!

Der Horror war in Formen von Jumpscares hier und da vorhanden, aber jederzeit zu durchschauen. Die "Rätsel" sind innerhalb weniger Minuten gelöst. RE 8 verabschiedet sich endgültig davon, was die alten Teile ausgemacht hat. Horror, Rätsel und dieses Unbehagen treten einfach nicht auf. Jedesmal wenn man denkt es passiert jetzt was kommt nichts. Und wenn was passiert ist man einfach enttäuscht.

Die Bosse sind wie in RE4 absolut überdimensional in der Größe und haben kaum Tiefe und Story nach der Devise: Größer = Besser. Man hat zu keinem Zeitpunkt im Spiel das Gefühl, dass man in der Klemme sitzt, sei es Munitionsmangel oder Platzmangel in der Bewegung. Ich bin im gesamten Spiel 5 mal gestorben und habe 9.5 h Stunden gebraucht. Es ist einfach ein Trend geworden, immer schönere Grafik zu benutzen und immer größere und weitere Welten, aber auf Spielmechanik sowie Einfallsreichtum beim Antagonisten oder Rätsel, was die Serie mal ausgemacht hat, wurde nicht genug Zeit reingesteckt.

Fazit: Das Spiel sind sehr gut aus. Das Schloss ist eine Augenweide, allerdings guckt man eigentlich immer nur auf die Karte, wo man noch nicht alles abgeklappert hat und ob man was vergessen hat. Allerdings ist es für alte Fans der Serie wieder nichts.

Wer mit RE4 und RE7 seinen Spaß hatte, wird mit diesem Spiel seine Freude haben. Allen anderen rate ich von einem Kauf ab.

Sehr abwechslungsreiche Maps und Waffen.
Jeder hat mal Counter Strike gespielt und sollter hier zuschlagen bei dem besten competitiven Spiel der Welt.
