The main story of The Pre-Sequel is to follow how Handsome Jack rise to power happened and why. This is where, in my opinion, the game is at its best, a story that takes you in spins you around makes you want to discover and understand the story better all the time. As well with funny dialog and perfect voice-acting this game is hard to beat.
I have already got into the gameplay a small bit in the opening paragraph, and as said the gameplay is very familiar with Borderlands 2, you could say it is a very big DLC but in my opinion I say, if it works, don't fix it. But saying that they have added low-gravity areas, new ice and laser weapons which changes things a bit more. And of course with all Borderlands games there is Co-Op which is on a very hard-to-beat level where it feels smooth, not rushed at all and makes the overall experience just so much better, and with 4 new characters every player have their expertise.
Graphically the game has kept its series cell-shaded cartoony look and it is better than ever. Every new area you enter brings new level of detail and its possible to see that the level designers has worked really hard to make it the best looking game in the series. But with the kind of style they go with in this series the graphical level can not be compared to games that go with a more realistic style kind of graphics and does leave me wondering what a Borderlands game would look like with a different style.
Overall I do recommend this game to fans of the series, whether its your first time playing a Borderlands game or not it is worth a shot. But I do not recommend it at its current 50€ price point and would rather wait for a sale or something similar.
