A Gothic Open-World

Explore a vast world teeming with mythical horrors and danger. Travel through lush forests, open countryside, and dark caverns to discover valuable resources, meeting friends and foes alike along the way. Traverse the world with vampire comrades or hunt solo as you ravage villages, fend off holy soldiers, and challenge supernatural bosses.

Fear the light - Rule the night

Stick to the shadows during the daytime, or the burning sunlight will turn you to ashes. Roam the night and prey on your victims in the darkness. As a vampire, you must quench your thirst for blood while planning your strategies around the rising and setting sun.

Raise your Castle

Gather resources and discover ancient techniques to uncover forgotten knowledge. Use your newly acquired insight to build a castle to store your loot and grow your army of darkness. Personalize your domain, exhibit your vampiric style, and make sure to craft coffins for servants and friends. Strengthen your castle to protect your treasure hoard from vampire rivals.

Compete or Cooperate

Travel alone or explore the world with friends. Fighting side by side with other Vampires will give you an advantage in the fight to conquer the greatest threats of Vardoran. Raid other players’ castles, play the diplomat in the game of blood, power, and betrayal, or craft an indomitable retinue of insidious allies. Compete or cooperate - the choice is yours.

Master your Vampire

Learn and master an arsenal of deadly weapons and unholy abilities. In V Rising, you aim skillshots and dodge projectiles using​ precise​​ ​WASD controls ​and cursor-based​ ​aiming - no click to move. Tailor your vampire to fit your play style by combining weapons with a variety of spells earned through vanquishing powerful foes. ? V Rising – One of the Best Vampire Games I’ve Ever Played

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

I’ve put in over 60 hours into V Rising so far, and I’m completely hooked. This game is an absolute gem if you enjoy survival games with a dark twist. You wake up as a vampire after centuries of sleep, and from the moment you take your first steps into the world, the atmosphere just pulls you in — the music, the lighting, the gothic architecture — it’s all beautifully done.

What really stands out is the progression. You start off weak, avoiding the sun and feeding on rats, but as you explore and take down bosses (called V Bloods), you gain new powers that totally change how you play. It's such a rewarding system. One day you're sneaking through the woods avoiding werewolves, the next you're teleporting around like a god, casting blood magic and commanding undead servants.

Building your castle is another huge highlight for me. The building system is surprisingly deep and easy to use. I’ve spent hours just designing and upgrading my fortress, placing walls, crafting stations, and slowly turning it into a true vampire stronghold. And being able to capture NPCs and turn them into your loyal servants? That’s just next-level cool.

Combat is fast-paced and skill-based — you can choose your weapons and spells, mix and match abilities, and it always feels dynamic. Plus, the co-op mode is super fun. I’ve been playing with a few friends and raiding other castles in PvP adds a whole new layer of excitement.

Overall, V Rising took me by surprise. It’s not just a survival game — it’s a full vampire experience. The devs clearly put a lot of love into it, and it shows. If you're into games like Valheim, Diablo, or Castlevania, you’ll probably love this.

V Rising has been one of the biggest surprises for me personally.
Do not let the camera perspective fool you. V Rising is an action game, a boss rush, a castle builder and quite frankly a blast.
Despite the ability to play PvE and PvP online, the game's true potential lies within its Singleplayer or in small friend groups.
It got beautiful graphics and a crap ton of mostly unique bosses.
Even the game's already tame grind can simply be skipped over or turned off in the settings menu.

  • No crossplay with PS5 as of writing this

Good survival game. Mix between Diablo and Terraria.

My favourite aspect about survival games is meaningful progression, and this satisfies that.

it's a great game that is still under devolpment and get many updates every year, it's will probley contuine to become a even better game, so far with the steam price it isnt really worth 35 euro, howerver the instant gameing price is a very fair price for a game that will give you many hours of fun

Don't bother getting this one. It is not worth your time or money - almost unplayable.

It does not support controllers and mouse and keyboard just feel odd....

Sooooo much potential wasted on this one... its a shame
