You must have the game Guild Wars 2 in order to take advantage of this great 2,000 gem offer! The core game is now free and you can download it and play straight away. But to enjoy the full experience, load up your gems and take advantage of all the additional extras that make game play so much fun.

How to use the gem card serial codes to redeem gems in the Gem Store:

• Log in to Guild Wars 2.
• Open the Black Lion Trading Company panel. (The default hot key is “O,” or you may select the lion icon in the upper left of the game screen.)
• Select the “Redeem Code” button at the upper left of the Gem Store panel.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem your serial code for gems.
•• Gems are delivered automatically when the code is redeemed.

Guild Wars 2 is a massively multiplayer online role playing game or MMORPG as they are more commonly known. Set in the fantasy world of Tyria, you must battle the Elder Dragons who have seized control in the time between the first game and this one.

About the Game

The game is set in a persistent world with instanced environments, meaning that the scenarios ‘reset’ for each group of players that come into that particular area, for instance, a cave full of treasure will replenish itself, and so on, so that each player or group of players enjoys the same power-ups or treasure stores as the others.

There are plenty of quests and missions including escorting NPCs (non-playing characters) through dangerous areas, killing villains or collecting certain items, all set against a compelling storyline that will keep you coming back for more. The map is open so you can choose your own direction if you do not want to follow the crowd or the game’s prompts.

Responsive Dynamic Fun

The game is responsive, allowing player responses to determine the next series of events. This is unique to this multiplayer game although this sort of dynamism is relatively common in single player games. This works through a ripple effect in which one sole action puts into motion a series of options – and as ripples start from one point, it is easy to understand how the game is tailored for each player or group of players.

There are five races and eight professions for the players to choose between for their characters. The professions are divided into ‘armour’ classes, with – understandably – scholars having the lightest-weight armour while soldiers have the heaviest. Players choose ten skills from a wide pool, meaning that there are infinite varieties on the ways to play, although some of the skills are determined by weapon choices and others are reserved to be unlocked as the player progresses. This all adds to the interest of the game and gives the player incentive to keep going just a little longer.

The developers have adjusted the upgrade caps so that there should be little in the way of grinding (repeating old missions in order to gain resources or experience points) needed, so players can be sure of a fresh playing experience every time they log in.

Modes of Play

  • Player vs environment too has benefited from algorithms, with levels of difficulty being pegged to player ability. This is useful as it prevents players stumbling into an overly difficult arena and not being able to progress.

  • Player vs player sets everyone at level 80 so all players have access to all the power-ups and items giving everyone an equal footing for fairer battling.

  • World vs world is a huge combat zone, set in a persistent environment that is completely apart from the main world. Players can dip in and out of this mode as they like, earning rewards for successful feats and returning to their regular game when they are done.

  • Why Buy 2,000 Gems?

The base game is free, but the best way to maximise your experience is by stocking up on gems so that you can make in-game purchases to access locked areas, acquire loot or treasure and generally ease your path in the game.

Gems are the in-game currency and you can earn them by playing exceptionally well, but this can make your progress quite slow and unrewarding. What a pleasure to use a few gems to scale an obstacle with ease, and continue on your way, ridding Tyria of the scourge of the Elder Dragons and completing missions along the way!

Guild Wars 2: 2000 Gems for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.
