Description

Build Residential Rental lots in any livable World with up to 6 units per lot and households of up to 8 Sims per unit. Choose to live as a tenant or property owner in The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack. Your Sim can now own and manage multiple Residential Rental lots or move into a home where they’re closer to their neighbors than ever (perfect for snooping!). From potlucks to evictions, there’s a lot to do and a bustling new world to do it in.

KEY FEATURES:

  • New Lot Type — New Residential Rental lots give you the chance to get creative with multi-family dwellings. Give your Sims a basement suite to rent out, a duplex to keep 2 families close, townhomes for multiple families, or even build apartments of up to 6 units (or more if you know the cheat). Each Residential Rental can be customized to your specifications.

  • Property Management — Property owner Sims can be present property managers, living among their tenants, or they can live in a separate residence while generating income from several property investments. If your Sim doesn’t want to manage the whole property, then perhaps the new Handyperson Career might be better suited to them. Property owners should keep their Unit Ratings high because, if they don’t, they could face consequences like a Tenant Revolt.

  • Closer Than Ever — Sims in Residential Rentals will inevitably get tangled up in each other’s lives. They’ll meet with other tenants at Social Events like a community potluck, in the garden, or other common areas at their Residential Rental, and have ample opportunity to discover their neighbor’s secrets by eavesdropping, snooping, or even breaking and entering. If you discover something juicy, you can blackmail other Sims for a bribe, too!

  • Bustling and Beautiful — One of the most iconic scenes Tomarang has to offer is the Night Market where your Sims will savor new foods and add unique objects such as the pressure cooker and electric kettle to their homes. As you explore the world, you might even see children playing new games of marbles and hopscotch or discover the 4 new traits and 4 new aspirations unique to For Rent.

The world wont load - easy install though and i do like playing every now and again but disappointed that i cant play on the world of tjis new expansion pack unfortunately! Not sure on a fix for this atm

I honestly didn't really have much positivity going into this considering I held off on buying it after seeing it caused major save corruptions for tons of players, and had bugs of rent skyrocketing over 1,000,000, with no way to fix it.

It's like a lot of TS4's expansion packs as of late, being game packs priced as expansion packs that provide very little to no gameplay changes whatsoever. You're better off buying it here on IG for around as much as a game pack at $20. Because it's not even worth $30, let alone $40.
  • Several households on same lot
  • Loading screen when switching/visiting household on same lot
  • Pack was originally released with tons of bugs that destroyed save files

This pack should be one of the best. It is not. It has corrupted my legacy game file. It has broken features. It causes so many more issues than it adds to your game, I can NOT advise you buy this. I paid good $ for a broken pack that they have yet to fix, I do not feel at this point they can fix it. I do not advise letting EA steal your money on this broken game pack.
  • Breaks your save files
  • slows down loading to a painful pace
  • EA are NOT addressing the issues in this pack in a timely manner

The world is nice the gameplay is cool I don't see anything wrong with this but if you would like you can wait if the price drops one more time but other than that it's a good game

It's not as buggy as people say it is. There are some minor problems, of course, but they are manageable with some patients.

Residential rental lot is genuinely an Interesting feature, but required a lot of research and patience to fix it.
  • residential rental lot can make your game play more realistic and enjoyable.
  • There are pretty lots of bugs and glitches which need to fix by yourself (or wait for EA for ages)
  • White screen occurs if you don't put the residential rental lot in a niche way.

I rarely buy add-ons for Sims games because it's such a money sink, but this is the first one that seemed fun since Cottage Living came out. It's about time the apartment system was fleshed out to be more than just a small lot that you paid rent in the mailbox for. I'm too lazy to be a landlord, though.

Globally, the DLC is just as I imagined it. Of course, every time that they release a new DLC, EA struggles with a lot of different bugs, which is understandable with the size of the game's programming.
