I always had a thing for hunting games ever since I was a child simply because of how relaxing they can be. Hunter: Call of the Wild is no exception. It's a good hunting game, but there are things I don't like about it.
Playing Hunter: CotW, as a base game, feels like playing a barebone demo of the Hunter. I absolutely dislike how so many essential features that should have been there need to be bought as DLCs. Good thing is that the game is often discounted. But, even then, I feel like dogs, quads and equipment like tents should simply be there in the base game. For me, the game got really fun only when I bought myself those things and a DLC with new, more powerful rifles. I appreciate how only one person has to own the map DLC in order for people to play it in multiplayer.
Maps, both base and paid ones, are good and I really like the sceneries, as well as the variety of biomes. You can easily immerse yourself in the nature, and just walking around and observing the animal life by itself feels great. Sound effects are also pretty good. Hunting feels realistic, by the way animals make shelter or go out drinking at specific timeframes, but one thing I think could be better are the animal animations. Animations on animals are really weird once they hear gunfire or once they get shot. I understand that they're supposed to be agitated but the animations are really unnatural. Draw distance is also something I find really annoying, and that goes both for objects and animals. You often spot an animal and after zooming in on it you lose sight because a random rock spawns in-between. Animals also disappear beyond a certain distance and it kind of breaks the immersion, as observing is one of the main factors in this game.
Dogs as companions are pretty bugged and often get stuck in random terrain with no option to respawn them.
What I must mention, this game being just over 100GB is insane. I understand that by now there have been a ton of reservoirs released, but make it so players can check which one they want to have downloaded on their devices in order to save space.
Overall, it's a fun and relaxing experience. Once you get your first diamond trophies you really get addicted to hunting for more. And you have an option to play with friends which can really be fun.
Animation in this game are perfect. I have a RTX3070 and the quality is on Ultra. The sound of nature its perfect. I'm in love with this game. Some parts of the maps when you explore it its just exploring, because its nothing to hunt there. But its ok that too.
The render of nature in background its not so good.
This is the best game when it comes to combine fun and realistic hunting feeling. It can be very frustrating but the excitment you get when spoting an animal is insane. Good developers nice community.
this game makes you feel like you are a actual hunter because your legs are atleast 3 inches long and the sky is blue i dont smoke ched only the finner flavours in life no cap tho stepped out with the long fella
Great game if you are looking to pass time and have some fun hunting. IG always has a great deal on it so its easy to buy it and download it. It has some of the prettiest scenery and various animals!.

good support on this website fast replies and good staffs
anyone that has been hunting no matter what game: small or big; and just being in the woods or an open field, the no matter the temperature or whether raining, snowing. This game only allows you to see and hear and or see what the weather is like. Yet from experience of one time being there, you know how it feels. Of all the other low grade hunting game I have played, this beats all of that and then some. When it was shown to me by my nephew, it was amazing and I needed to get it and enjoy the hunting as though I were really there. Still amazes me. Yes, when possible I would tell others about this game.
Extremely good deal for a starter pack. You get 2 "paid" reserves, some weapons, tents and ATVs.
Animal AI is not the smartest, but it's ok for a simulation. I've encountered several graphical glitches overtime, mainly due to the rendering distance. Graphics are truly beautiful, as are the sounds overall. Satisfied.
Overall a good and fun game, could be more missions and more places to travel.
But if you like hunting you will like this game alot. The graphic on this game is awesome but you need a good computer to play this game.
theHunter: Call of the Wild fordyp deg godt inn i jaktopplevelsen som noensinne er opprettet.
graphics are good but game is very slow can't get hunter to run and despite playing around with settings seems to be stuck on wide screen. scope on the gun fills the whole screen. my husband is rather dissapointed.
Perfect. (rly? Minimum characters? You should be glad that I write here at all! xD)
