Beautiful maps with different environment. Sound and effects are on point. Graphics are very good (for a 2011 game). Furthermore, the campaign story line is very interesting and portrays the whole story of a starring family within multi-scenario campaigns. However, I do not like that there is only one upgrade for a unit, whereas in Heroes V there were two of them, and you could choose which one you would prefer.
LAN multiplayer is also great if you have sibling or friends to play with. The last thing that caught my interest was that every spell or effect is very well explained and you always know what something does or is used for.
All in all, this is a great game for casual and for hardcore gamers alike. I definitely recommend it if you are into strategy, fantasy, magic and medieval type of games.

The game doesn't work. It crashes if you start it in full screen and to change this you have to dig through your documents. Furthermore the CONFLUX system of connecting and enabling everything you bought doesn't work and you can't connect to it. Worst 9€ I spent in my entire life!!!

1. Good graphics;
2. Good effects;
3. Good troop variety;
4. Good faction variety.
Cons:
1. Too few resource types (waay too few);
2. Poor castle concept (even Heroes 2 is better);
3. A bit too easy (AI is somewhat dumb).
All-in-all, if you want a good Heroes, stick to Heroes II, Heroes III and Heroes V. I for one just purchased this game so I'd have the entire Heroes collection under my belt.

Absolutely astonished, finally a good sequal to the Heroes III legacy with new graphics, good gameplay, balanced nations and interesting story. A campaign I enjoyed at last. A pleasant suprise of the summer
