Description

Join intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran as she attempts to escape a hostile alien world in the critically acclaimed game Metroid Dread.
After investigating a mysterious transmission from planet ZDR, Samus faces a mysterious enemy that traps her on this dangerous world. This remote planet is infested with ruthless alien lifeforms and sinister robotic threats known as E.M.M.I. Guide Samus Aran, the intergalactic bounty hunter raised by an ancient tribe, as she explores the varied environments of a treacherous world. Overcome obstacles by running, sliding through tight spaces, countering enemies, and engaging in combat across the planet. In all her missions, Samus has never encountered a threat as great as the one lurking on planet ZDR.

Gain upgrades and uncover new ways to explore and hidden secrets
Acquire new abilities and revisit previously explored areas to discover new paths and upgrades in true classic Metroid-style gameplay. The vast map of planet ZDR hides many secrets and powers waiting to be uncovered. You'll need to be ready to evade and destroy the relentless E.M.M.I. robots and face the looming threat of ZDR.

New modes let you explore at your own pace, face true calamity, or take on a boss rush challenge
If it’s your first time running and gunning as Samus, the new Beginner Mode increases the energy received from items and reduces the damage dealt by bosses. For bounty hunters seeking a tougher challenge, Dread Mode becomes available after completing Hard Mode. Finish the game to unlock Boss Rush Mode, where you can face Samus's most formidable foes one after another and try to get the best times!

A new Samus amiibo figure in her Metroid Dread suit and an E.M.M.I. amiibo figure are available as a double set.
Scan the Samus amiibo to receive an Energy Tank that increases your health by 100 units; you can also scan it once per day for an energy refill. The E.M.M.I. amiibo grants a Missile+ Tank, increasing Samus's maximum missile capacity by 10; scanning it once per day gives you additional missiles.
