INTRODUCTION

Overview
Battle gigantic monsters in epic locales.

As a hunter, you'll take on quests to hunt monsters in a variety of habitats.
Take down these monsters and receive materials that you can use to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt even more dangerous monsters.

In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement.

Setting
Once every decade, elder dragons trek across the sea to travel to the land known as the New World in a migration referred to as the Elder Crossing.

To get to the bottom of this mysterious phenomenon, the Guild has formed the Research Commission, dispatching them in large fleets to the New World.

As the Commission sends its Fifth Fleet in pursuit of the colossal elder dragon, Zorah Magdaros, one hunter is about to embark on a journey grander than anything they could have ever imagined.

ECOSYSTEM

A World That Breathes Life
There are various locations teeming with wildlife. Expeditions into these locales are bound to turn up interesting discoveries.

HUNTING

A Diverse Arsenal, and an Indispensable Partner
Your equipment will give you the power to need to carve out a place for yourself in the New World.

The Hunter's Arsenal
There are fourteen different weapons at the hunter's disposal, each with its own unique characteristics and attacks. Many hunters acquire proficiency in multiple types, while others prefer to attain mastery of one.

Scoutflies
Monster tracks, such as footprints and gashes, dot each locale. Your Scoutflies will remember the scent of a monster and guide you to other nearby tracks. And as you gather more tracks, the Scoutflies will give you even more information.

Slinger
The Slinger is an indispensable tool for a hunter, allowing you to arm yourself with stones and nuts that can be gathered from each locale.
From diversion tactics to creating shortcuts, the Slinger has a variety of uses, and allows you to hunt in new and interesting ways.

Specialized Tools
Specialized tools activate powerful effects for a limited amount of time, and up to two can be equipped at a time. Simple to use, they can be selected and activated just like any other item you take out on a hunt.

Palicoes
Palicoes are hunters' reliable comrades out in the field, specialized in a variety of offensive, defensive, and restorative support abilities.
The hunter's Palico joins the Fifth Fleet with pride, as much a bona fide member of the Commission as any other hunter.

Pretty good, a lot to do, sometimes can be boring but you have fun even after a break on it. Nice graphics and not too much ressources consuming. Long-live game and well balanced difficulty. Flexible gameplay between weapons.

A very fun and enjoyable open-world experience from Capcom, similar to their Dragons Dogma game. I highly recommend this game. If you like story heavy driven games but with also a punch of good combat and other fun stuff, then you are in for a treat with this game.

Liked a lot! 9/10

Just a little bit too heavy for a light pc or notebook so be sure to have a good HD/Graphics Card.

Hunt Big monsters all alone or with some friends. Overall it's really good even though it's a bit repetitive.

Get through the intro, that's the hardest part of the game. And don't worry, you can get through the main storyline and you'll almost never have to talk to the handler again, and during the storyline you can space things out or just avoid talking to her in general to reduce the exposure to her chatterbox.

(Someone beneath me said the palicos (cats) are useless, for anyone interested, palicos at first will only occasionally use a thing called a vigorwasp, which heals you, but you can unlock more gadgets, such as a horn that gives buffs, an item stealing boomerang, and more. Another person had qualms with the hitboxes, and to address those, they are actually pretty accurate, and dodging will give some invincibility frames, so it's all about practice and timing. And for air attacks, they always target where you were at the start of the attack, with a little variation, so you just need to move out of the way, then dodge. Most people's grievances with Monster Hunter games seems to be based on the fact that they can't learn timing, but don't let that stop you, because you can play with friends or just strangers on line, with a really helpful community.)

One of the best games I've ever played. For the people who complain about the Handler, it does get better, along with hunts in general as they become more difficult and weapons more varied. Finding friends to play with also is a blast, and I'd recommend MHW as a must buy for any previous Monster Hunter game fans (though it is different) and just a fun game for most people I've talked to. There's 14 weapon categories, all which have their own upgrade tree with over 50 unique upgrades for each weapon. These don't just increase attack, but element types, things like decoration slots (which give boosts to certain things like defense overall, attack when a monster is aggravated, and many more), their own skills that have the same effects as decorations, and weapons like the bowguns, gunlance or greatbow have their own ammo types and effects unique to each tree and version of the weapon.

Each monster has 3 (or 4) types of armor unique to it, with its own skills and decoration slots available, and elemental resistances to go with them.

It can sound like a lot to newcomers, but the game guides you to a point where you can understand the fundamentals, but you will have to get a bit more in depth to really bring out the strengths and weaknesses of builds.

Sorry for the block of text, but if you were to buy one game, this would be an excellent pick.

Do not buy this. Although this says global activation, the keys don't work in most countries. Unless you want to get your money scammed don't buy this and expect that you can redeem it. You cannot. This is my first time using this platform and it has not been a great experience so far. Buy it from some other platforms.

sad that i bought it here because it can't be refunded :( not a game i enjoyed, and frankly im very sad that it cost what it did and wasn't fun at all, i thought saving money would be a great idea but its not a great idea if it can't be refunded

I'd say go for it, if you have a buddy to play with or enjoy playing with strangers. If you're going to play this singleplayer only, you really have to like this sort of gameplay and you still might feel a bit left out. Most of the things in-game are made with multiplayer in mind and it shows.
  • Great world with much to do
  • Fun multiplayer with friends or strangers
  • So many ways to customize gear to suit your own playstyle
  • Movement can feel slow and annoying
  • Can be overwhelming if you try to learn everything right away
  • Singleplayer can feel underwhelming

Simply the game I've waited since I was 11 years old. It's amazing how it makes you feel really like the old games such as Monster Hunter Freedom Unite but, at the same time, has a completely different approch which feels so natural and performing.

One of my all-time favourite games, if not my personal favourite. I pre-ordered it back in August 2018 and it hasn't let me down once. Great in everything, though it does have some things that could have been fixed in Iceborne but oh well. Don't hesitate to buy it since it is way cheaper than when it launched 2 years ago.

One of my favorite games. I have both World and Icebourne on PS4 but chose to buy on PC for modding community and free internet play and better graphics from my PC. May not be everyone's cup of tea but the grind is made easier due to the added high level weapons you can make to make play through's faster. So will be a lot more accessible to new players.

I have played many Monster Hunter titles and this one is one of my favorites. If you like JRPG's and fighting monsters and making weapons/armour from them. This is for you.
  • Faster progression through added new weapons
  • Better graphics potential than PS4
  • Fun new monsters to fight
  • More in depth weapon moves/combo's
  • Free internet play on steam
  • Weak story- typical of Monster Hunter titles

I probably have too little hours in this game to leave a review (40 hours more or less), but I had to.
I'm not a single-player lover, I bought this game (without the DLC) just because I could play with my friends, but even if I'm alone, this game takes a lot of my time. I enjoy going on expeditions, killing every monster I meet (even though it takes so much time every now and then..), gather everything I can and build up awesome armor pieces and weapons.
I still have A LOT to see and I honestly can't wait to, the graphics are amazing and I really like the character creation too.
I'm glad I bought this game and in the future I will probably buy the DLC too.

Ive been waiting for this game for a long time, and thanks to instant gaming i could finally buy it for a really good price, this game is absolutely stunning, the ambient and originality of the characters and monster are just perfect, at first i thought it was a mmorpg, so i was disappointed when i discovered it was only a server that could fit 16 players at a time, it was hard to find a decent server with a lot of people to send SOS flares or even communicate with others
  • a lots of missions
  • excellent graphics
  • cuteness overload and intimidating at the same time
  • low social interaction
  • lack of information of what do you need to do on missions

Overview
Monster Hunter: World is, as the name suggests, a monster hunting game. It is an action-adventure game with looting elements which you may expect from an mmo-lite, which this game can be considered as one. You party up with other players or play solo as you go around this gorgeous world and slay monster after monster to collect the loot and bounties available. If you do not enjoy fighting the same or similar bosses over and over, then I do not think this game is for you. That being said, this game does have a very fluid combat system that is satisfying which should help combat the repetitive feeling.

Breakdown
Hunter Creation
This game has a very in-depth character creation, or as it’s called in the game, hunter creation menu. There are a wide variety of options when it comes to customizing your hunter’s aesthetics and appearance. Beyond the cosmetics, the real depth is in the customization of the class of your hunter. You can be ranged or melee, or a tank and more; there is a lot that you can change. This offers a sense of replayability by switching your character’s roles for different play sessions and such. The game also lets you create a palico, cat-like companion, that assists you throughout your missions and makes even playing solo feel like a co-op session.

Loot, loot and more loot
This game has loot…. A LOT OF LOOT. You have a wide variety of weapons to choose from when you are setting out to slay your next monster. You have a wide variety of armour to choose from so that you are ready to block damage for your friends in the next hunt. You have a wide variety of potions that will assist you on your journey. While there will always be an ‘optimal’ choice, the game doesn’t limit you to it. You have a fighting chance with whatever gear you choose to use. A big plus is that the game doesn’t punish you for not playing in the optimal fashion. Instead, it rewards you for playing with a good chance of getting the loot you want, each time you go hunting. This significantly lessens the grindy feeling that is there with other games in this genre. If you enjoy the grind, then don’t worry. You will only enjoy this more, and even if you don’t enjoy the grind, as mentioned before, this game manages the feeling very well.

A true co-op experience
This game is great fun playing solo, but it truly shines when playing with friends. If you are looking for a game for you and your friends to enjoy over a weekend, then this game is the one for you. Don’t get me wrong, playing solo is enjoyable, but this game was built ground up for co-op, and Capcom has advertised it as such. Going around slaying all the monsters of the world while chatting with your friends is a very memorable experience.

Yet, this is also where the place where the game has one serious issue. It has connectivity issues, and that can be game-breaking, especially since the game doesn’t autosave in the middle of a hint. While this has improved from when it first released, it can still be found in some cases, which can put a rather abrupt and distasteful end to your play sessions with friends.

Go hunting!
Well, what are you waiting for? Go get your adventure started! This game is a must buy. It is a great experience that only gets better when played with friends. Monster Hunter: World will give you hundreds of hours of fun and enjoyment.

this is by far one of the greatest games to come from japan, the way they have developed this game throughout the years is quite outstanding. For one when you play this game there are many different ways to get through the game to kill of monsters. each of the classes feel refined down and executed excellently, to which each of the play styles feel like a new game when you play with them. the word building is astounding and really takes your breath away and the way each monster intertwines with the location really does leave you grasping for more as it takes your breath away.

however the only down side to the game is the story where it doesn't feel well exactitude and is really non memorable at best you really only remember the main monster and that's all does have good sequences that does leave an impression but they are not amazing or great only good at best. but you don't really play the game for its story you play the game for its great variety of monsters and grind for better armour but the grind doesn't feel all that tedious

overall this game is well worth a buy as it really leaves an impression on you with its monsters, its world building, and its class systems and this is all without mentioning your side kick that looks like a cute or some bad**s cat

Le renouveau ? -

Bestiaire ridicule
Multi joueurs pas ergonomique
Des bugs graphiques
Framerate en dent de scie

The game is really a worth the money. The game is interesting and offers a large variability of play styles - the shooters have a really a lot of different ammo types with elements. Overall the game quality is really good and if you are up to challenge then i highly recommend this game. Of course there are some negative points based on player opinion. For that i stated as grind grind negativity as for some players it may be discouraging. Also there are set of combos you can use with each weapons, some looks really amazing, but there is a risk that instead of regular dodge, your character will do just small step which could resolve in your character dead or receiving an enormous amount of damage.
  • the battles are intesnse
  • variety of weapon/armor builds
  • really nice graphics
  • open to some mods - graphics improvements etc.
  • COOP even cross sessions
  • sometimes character does not dodge correctly, or ignores the dodge
  • Grind, grind, grind and did i mentioned grind?

Hi there,

I had fun and enjoyed the first 15hours, but then it became repetitive, some players like it (monster hunter core players) but it's a not a game for me.

As a fallout 1.2.3.nv.4 / Tes 3.4.5 / Dragon age origin.2.inquisition / Twitcher 1/2/3 - Fan, i found Monster hunter lifeless (character/lore wise), the quests are boring.

Dont jump in this game thinking that it's gonna be a great Rpg like the games i previously quoted, but at the end of the day, the only way to know if you like it is to either play or watch an hour of gameplay.

Ps : Keyboard players, there are somle tutorials on youtube to guide you about the settings/sensitivity and ini files tweak, otherwise the game is barely playable.
  • Chill game (dungeon + spotify music playlist)
  • Graphics are nice, but nothing crazy
  • Community is nice (for the few people i met and talked with)
  • Some skins are cool
  • Nexus mod manager add alot of mods customization
  • Blurry (like many console port)
  • Main story not interesting (in my opinion)
  • Repetitive
  • Npc / Pnj not interesting
  • Keyboard players, good luck
