Five hundred years ago, a mysterious explosion shattered the world of Voltissia, and with it, civilization. The aftermath changed everything, twisting most of the planet's life into brutal mutants who torment the few remaining survivors, the Enelf.

Onto this desolate world, a lone young man named Al suddenly appears.

He decides to join forces with the Enelf and confront the looming threat.
