If your into simulation, or buses, this is the game for you. Yes it might be a pain to setup, and you might get terrible FPS but it's worth it. Here is why:
An incredible modding community, rarely found on other games:
The modding community found on OMSI 2 is unlike any other game, and they are the reason why it's still being actively played today. From new buses, to maps, to QOL improvements, the modding community do everything to keep the game alive. If your buying this game today, the first thing that you will want to do is download some new vehicles and maps. Honestly, the modding community is the sole reason why I bought the game, and some of the projects they do is incredible. An example can be the manly map, which is an accurate depiction of Sydney's northern beaches and their routes. If you look on street view and the actual in-game map, they are almost the same. It's totally awesome of what some of these people do.
The only bus simulation game that has a high amount of realism:
OMSI 2 is the real deal, games like Bus Simulator 18 & 21 simply are arcady, and do not come close of the real experiences that a actual bus driver will undergo. OMSI 2 is the closest you'll get in a game to being a bus driver in real life. Buses are accurate and are the same that they are in real life, the ticketing systems, timetables and even destination boards are the same that you will see in the real world. Nothing compares even close to this experience in the bus simulation area, and is why this game is still widely played today, even though there is no more active development.
Addicting and fun to play:
Seriously, this game is really fun. Once you've spent the three hours of pain trying to set it up, the game is awesome to play. The realism found in this game is only found in very few others, and even though it does have many issues, I still can't seem to not be attracted to it. The real life routes and buses created by the modding community, as well as the timetables, ticketing systems and other things add up to an amazing experience, which is not found on other games, and is why I love OMSI 2 much.
Concluding thoughts:
So, if your a simulation nerd, you like buses or you want to try something new OMSI 2 is a great game to get into. With the modding community, real life realism and generally it being an awesome game to play, it is an awesome buy and worth the money, even though the setup and performance is a bit awful. Overall, I find this game a huge load of fun, and I recommend if your interested in it to buy it, you won't regret it!
