Having played the Return of the King many moons ago, and being a big fan of the film trilogy, I had to give this a go. And it's great. The action can get repetitive, so be aware of that. The fun is immensely multiplied when playing co-op.

To say it's only 5 years old, the graphics are disappointing. It does seem about 10 years old, maybe even more.

Very interesting side of what we know about LOTR but the action was in the movie cut scenes not the actual game but still a pleasant experience in terms of fighting and the levels you travel. Worth it
  • Cool look and feel for a different experience to LOTR
  • Nice armor and skill sets
  • Good opponents and variety of them
  • Good detail in every level and that it looks different.
  • Cool co op experience
  • Real action in the movie scenes, making the game feel like a quick run off or B film
  • Not long enough to experience all your skills
  • Nice armor just no varity
  • Not a large enough force to face in battle although the few you face are difficult to kill
  • Not the best ending to a game under the banner of lord of the rings, hence the emotional aspect.
