Description

WWE 2K20 for PC is the latest incarnation of the popular wrestling simulation game, released in October 2019. It is the seventh of the WWE 2K series, but the twenty first in the whole game franchise which began with the Smackdown games and continued with WWE ’12 and WWE ’13 before the 2K suffix was introduced.

About the Game


As with all the games, the player takes on the persona of one of their favourite real life wrestling stars, and they proceed to play their way up the billing until they are the champion of champions.

Gameplay in this version is more streamlined, making it easier for newcomers to the game to get to grips with the controls, while veterans will be able to control their players more precisely, scoring big points with pinpoint accurate strikes. Paybacks return – with some new and improved vengeance methods to try out should your opponent decide to play dirty with you!

This version of the game revolves around the newest stars of WWE, including the Four Horsewomen of WWE (more about whom can be found below) but it keeps all the features and tricks that make the game so popular with its fans. The Horsewomen comprise the story mode, but players can choose manager mode to guide a wrestler to stardom, general WWE universe in which wrestlers pair off and battle for the win, and MyCareer mode returns too.

New Features to Look for in This Game


In this version of the game, for the first time, there is a female career path, found under the MyCareer tab on the game, so players can choose their preferred gender to play as. The female wrestlers, as mentioned above, are the Four Horsewomen of WWE, and the player can work through the game as one of these superstars, winning matches and climbing the stats sheets until she is crowned ultimate champion.

This being the 20th anniversary edition of the game, some old friends make a comeback, both in the cut scenes and some as playable characters or opponents. These include Chyna, Hulk Hogan and Roman Reigns, the latter of whom shares the cover with one of the aforementioned Horsewomen.

Four downloadable content packs will include a number of WWE original favourites both from previous episodes of the game and from real life, so players can reintroduce themselves to former wrestling superstars, and perhaps pit them against newcomers to see some fantastic fantasy matches.

Who are the Four Horsewomen of WWE?


  • Beck Lynch – on the cover of the game with Roman Reigns alongside her – is an Irish-born WWE star who has won multiple awards for her feisty wrestling and colourful personality and style. She worked on stage before turning to wrestling, and has a degree in Drama from the Dublin Institute of Technology, learning skills that she puts to good use as the more aggressive persona she has adopted since summer 2018

  • Bayley – real name Pamela Rose Martinez – is a three time WWE champion and the first female Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. Always sporty, Bayley began wrestling at the tender age of eleven, and has seen some changes in her WWE persona over the years going from being known as a hugger and being particularly child friendly to becoming more aggressive and using profanities to her fan base. In her private life, she collects pogo sticks

  • Charlotte Flair – this gorgeous blonde is not only a kick-ass wrestler, she is also an actress and an author, and she comes from wrestling royalty besides, with her father and several siblings also in the game. She holds a good range of wrestling titles and can more than hold her own against anyone who might be a little disrespectful to her!

  • Sasha Banks – this wrestler has muscles and skills enough to hold her own against anyone, but someone who can claim cousinship with not only Brandy, but Snoop Dogg too has got to have some serious star power. Best known initially for her Chaotic Wrestling, Banks made the move to WWE, initially as a good guy character, but evolving into a more complex villainous character

    Unable to play this game. It doesn't start correct
    It's bursting at the seams with bugs; many of its character models look even uglier than they already did last year; the lighting effects glitch constantly; there are virtually no noteworthy improvements to the actual wrestling, which feels woefully outdated at this point;

    The game freezes and I have not been able to play 1 game. Steam cannot refund as they advise to go to retailer and now you guys say that you cannot refund and we have to go to the developer?? I am taking the matter further to get my money back!

    The only reason I bought this game is that I love wrestling. But the game has bad optimization and its very buggy, the gameplay is okay but the bad optimization ruins the whole experience which is very bad for a game worth 60$ on steam....
