Description
Sims 4: Discover University for PC is the eighth large expansion pack for the popular game and it allows your Sims to get themselves into tertiary education and have some fun along the way.
This pack opens up the world of Britechester, where they can choose between two universities: University of Britechester and the Foxbury Institute. The latter, a prestigious fifty-year-old university with a modern and up-to-date campus, is sponsored by the subtly named Landgraab family who have featured in previous Sims games.
Your Sim moves onto campus (or gets an off-campus apartment, if they prefer) and signs up for classes – more about those below – and they can enjoy a full and realistic college experience, playing juice pong, planning and executing stunts and high-fiving the campus mascot whenever their paths cross.
Along with college life comes a range of new items not previously needed or mentioned. These include bathroom stalls, bicycles on which your Sim can travel around campus to be sure of getting to class on time, drones so your Sim can document their university experience by recording footage and taking photographs to send to the News Channel – they can also make skill videos or travel videos depending on their area of interest.
Your Sim can, like every college-age student, make foolish decisions and get tattoos and facial piercings. They can also enjoy shower woohoo if they want to – um – keep it clean!
Roommates, which have been a feature in other Sims games, return with a unique twist, giving your Sims new best friends for life. If you really like your roommate, you can get together with them romantically. And perhaps try out some of that shower time woohoo?
There are new options in the secret society tab for this expansion pack, with new ornate lots appearing to those Sims who are in the know and who have passed the initiation rites and can see the secret lot that houses the society. Most societies come pre-loaded with various members, and your Sim can join in with their antics, oppose their plans, or even come up with better ideas themselves.
Your Sim has a choice of three degrees that will aid them with their future career. These are:
Education: getting a degree in education is an excellent way for your Sim to get their feet onto the teaching career pathway. With the right degree he or she can even avoid the first few onerous steps of the teaching route, skipping classroom assistant and playground monitoring tasks and getting straight
into the meat of leading a class towards understanding and acquiring knowledge
Law: every lawyer needs a degree, and getting theirs will open up a wide range of jobs to your Sim. From humble beginnings as a filing clerk, your Sim can rise up through the ranks, detouring reception work and legal secretary all the way up to ‘The Law’ when your have complete mastery over the criminals who are brought before you, recommending rehabilitation or punishment as you see fit!
Engineering: not only is engineering a new career path and new degree subject in the game, but there are other specialisms too, for example, robotics is a new skill introduced for this game. Engineering is a massive field, and giving your Sim an engineering degree will allow them to work in almost any industry they care to name!
Sims 4: Discover University for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

mostly great for storytelling purposes, as it can get repetitive to solely play for the gameplay of the university. would recommend littlemisssam's mod to make the homework process faster
- great for storytelling
- two universities
- repetitive
- takes a long time to play through

As a big family and career player, I enjoyed this pack. I didn't really enjoy this pack just because there were lots of small bugs and glitches, and the gameplay for this pack just feels very restricted and definitely has less gameplay than the other expansion packs. I still did enjoy playing with it, but I would personally only get it just for the CAS.
- Good create a sim items
- The world is really pretty
- Restricted gameplay.
- Not a lot of things you can do outside of university unless if you take 1 class.
- Not a lot of things you can do in general.

Since i bought the pack, the game constantly crashes. I have a gamer PC, I never had that issue since years. That was the era when sims 4 had a faulty patch. Since then i didn't have crashes. The pack contantly makes objects desapiar and crashes the game.

I think this pack is a good choice to buy, it gives older sims more to do and you can get advancements to future jobs and skills levels. I also like having two university choices, and the new clothes.
- range of furniture
- bikes
- able to get ahead in careers
- new good clothes
- you cant join sims in classes
- unable to build in university accommodation

The map is amazing, the buildings and everything is great, but all I do is study and go to classes. I don't really have free time to go around and have fun, because my Sim is tired most of the time and it goes on classes with bad moods. I feel like I have to use cheats to boost my Sim mood up and wake him up to have fun at night and stuff.
Maybe I'll try again with another Sim and see how it goes, but unfortunately I got bored easily.

The expansion pack is really good one of the most worth.
What i found unlucky is that in requirements is written the El Capitan as recommended OS for MacOs however it heavily depends on the year of the macbook if it falls under metal or non-metal compatiblitiy.
MacUsers check that before purchasing, or you might end like me, the game unplayable on Mac as it downloads Legacy version and the expansion pack is non runnable on Legacy

Pro:
- Young adults and older can enroll
- Can share rooms
- You can assign beds, say even which side of the bed if double beds are used.
- You can lock doors for privacy
- Computers can be now also locked
- You can buy items from the Campus Kiosk and move items in live mode
- The neighborhood is divided in 3 sections
- Students can travel freely
- 1 Term is 5 Sims-days long, regardless of their lifespan
- A board is available for their presentations etc.
- Cheating doesn't harm (just a moodlet) if you do it one time
Contra:
- You have only one interactive level you can build on
- Sims will teleport in/out like in City Living nope no elevator interactions, sadly
- You cannot edit the lot freely, for that you have to use cheats, sadly
- Classes are rabbit holes with some basic control over it, sad
- Skills can be also achieved via rabbit-holes
- Daily Tasks are mostly homework and course work
- You cannot see the progress. You have to call the professor or email them
- You lose progress if you change your degree
Scholarship
- To get a scholarship that depends on your sims skills or grades during school
University
- Based on your sims skills they're qualified for a normal or distinguished degree ( provides better payment later in their career)
- 13 degrees available (with detailed information, ideal career, and the classes)
- 12 classes need to join to get the degree.
- You can take 1 to 4 classes per term.
- Elective Classes are optional skill - you can take classes or not
- You can pick where you want to live in Britchester
- You pay tuition but you can also transfer money to your new household when you split them.
Personally I wish they would provide more active gameplay (active careers, classes etc). I think the Sims 4 like all previous titles still lack in providing complete sets of furniture. Being limited to edit a Lot - simply doesn't make sense - it's a Simulation Game and I want to be in charge if I want to change something or not - it shouldn't be hidden behind cheats. Not enough lots to add for diversity this is annoying but this is Sims 4 in general! It is okay I think not perfect but the CAS Items are nice and the first transportation even if it's limited because it's only for adults is a step in the right direction but still for me not enough to rate it higher.

- bikes (first transportation ever)
- CAS items are usable for daily purpose
- no active classes
- too many shell builidings
- too many rabit holes (classes, sports skills)
- limited build mode, needs a cheat to unlock it
- incomplete furniture sets as usual
