Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for PC is the third in the Modern Warfare series, the eighth in the Call of Duty franchise and is a first-person shooter game, with, as all the other games in the series, a war-torn setting, or series of settings and locations all over the world. You and your team are tasked with finding the bad guy and stopping his nefarious plans: first you must fund him and battle your way through hordes of enemies to do so.

About the Game


Centred around Task Force 141, the game is set pretty much all over the world, as the multinational team work to stop the villain, Makarov. Familiar figures return from the other games in the series, in the form of Captain Price, Soap McTavish and the rest of the American, British and Russian crew.

Play is fairly linear with the player pretty much tasked with reaching a certain point on the map, while killing everything that moves and is an enemy. Each mission is fairly similar as far as objectives go, but the differences lie in the journey. At times you will have to go hard and fast, spraying bullets and racing to get to safety, at other times you will have to go slow and quiet, sneaking along so as to not be spotted.

This is a change from previous games where there was a dedicated stealth area and where storyline could sometimes make a player feel quite redundant as cut scene after cut scene filled in the narrative. This game gets the balance right: a relatively simple premise, with just enough variety and detail that you remain immersed in the game until the mission is complete, and – quite often – beyond.

Competent players can progress quickly, and at the end of each successfully competed round, the player is rewarded with a point boost, a new weapon or unlocking of some cool and interesting piece of equipment. This is not to say that the game is too easy: you are challenged and must work for your successes, so winning each level is satisfying.

Modes of Play


  • Single Player/ Campaign Mode: The player changes characters as they play through the story arc. You will be joined by AI soldiers on each mission. Information comes to you via a heads-up display which alerts you to damage sustained and the need to recuperate until your health bar has regained some points. There is an upsetting cut scene at the beginning of the game, but players can choose to skip this, if they are sensitive to gratuitous violence

  • Cooperative Play Mode: there are a couple of co-operative modes. Survival allows you and a friend to fight off wave after wave of increasingly violent, numerous and skilled enemies. Unlike other iterations, they will spawn all over the map, responding to your position. Special Ops is the other cooperative mode, where you and your buddy can work your way through a mission, fighting off the bad guys and protecting each other’s butts

  • Multiplayer Mode: multiplayer mode has a lot to offer: Assault, Support, Specialist are the three strike packages that will earn you points and kudos. Assault involves the player gaming the gamut of the game without dying: being struck down means losing all the points acquired until then. Support is similar, but tallies all your cumulative points into your final score. There is a bit of something for everyone, so be sure to try them all

    I remember the hours spent fighting to reach the moab.
    this games on pc is really great takes aminute to figure out controls but once u learn it .it becomes easy a fun

    I remember playing this game on the Xbox at a friend’s house. Several years later, I got myself a pc and bought it from here. Okay so at first, I know this game has a survival mode like zombies, but you’re fighting with some terrorist group that gets more harder every round. This mode was my most favorite which was one of the reasons I bought it. I am familiar with other MW titles, but this would be the first game I played on the PC. Besides from that, here are my cons. There is no Splitscreen unless you don’t mind modding it with a 3rd party program. Another reason I bought this game was because I thought it would have splitscreen for the survival mode I loved. Another con is that the Mouse + Controller Sensitivity is abysmal. You can lower it to the lowest and still have a hard time looking left and right. For the controller, it feels too fast. For the mouse, it can be challenge when you’re playing and your swipes can randomly and uncontrollably rotate on its own.

    . I waited for that game to come at a discount I took it a couple of months ago and I passed it. I like the history of that game and the symbols and aesthetics came to the fore. there is a good mass in France

    I really loved this game back then, and i love it now, even if i had really low fps then. It is nostalgic game that offers you one of the best COD experience you can get, beside MW 1 and 2, and it is worth every cent i spent on this.

    Bought the game redeemed the code and only got the free MW3 dedicated server tool instead of the base game. Payed 20€ for a free tool on steam... Talked to the support but they just said "You have the right game" and didnt respond to my follow up questions and blocked me from writing and opening another ticket... Just be prepared if you buy something, that talking to the support is about as useful as talking to a wall.
    A solid Call of Duty game with great maps and modes (particularly infected -- was a whale of a time) and a genuinely great atmosphere that followed through from the gritty and action-packed campaign. DLC's were not too great, though.

    this game is very nice fast redemption and fast gameplay 9/10 still a bit unrealistic the combat is a bit dry compared to cs and other games like that I would recommend you stay away from shotguns tho they very buggy.

    Its a good Call of Duty, with a pretty good multiplayer which have been playing since 2011 (1500 players playing simultaneously) The campaign is as good as mw2, imo, but the general optimitacion for PC is ridiculous.

    Just another CoD. Nothing really special about this one.

    I do generally enjoy the multiplayer experience, but as soon as I joined a server I was experiencing multiple bugs, including my gun shaking so badly when aiming down the sights that it was impossible to shoot anyone.

    Such a shame that they HAVE to release one every year. More time and they could make them so much better...

    It is a great game. The story line is excellent and the gameplay is the same as MW 2 and on some points better.

    The big citys (Londen Paris) are also very nice I loved this game and would anyone recommend to buy this game
