De beroemde Mega Man Battle Network-serie, waar ook anime en comics van zijn verschenen is terug in de Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Volume 2 bevat zes games van beide versies boordevol actie van Mega Man Battle Network 4 tot beide versies van Mega Man Battle Network 6, plus extra functies zoals een galerie met illustraties en muziek! Bovendien wordt online spelen ook ondersteund!

In 200X is door de snelle ontwikkeling van internettechnologie het 'netwerktijdperk' ontstaan. Mensen genieten van de voordelen van netwerktechnologie via draagbare ontdekkingsapparaten genaamd 'PET' en persoonlijkheidssimulatieprogramma's genaamd NetNavi. Naarmate de netwerkwereld groter en het leven steeds comfortabeler wordt, neemt netwerkcriminaliteit snel toe.
