After earning the platinum trophy in Horizon Zero Dawn, including the The Frozen Wilds DLC, I can say it's a must-play for anyone who enjoys a story-driven action game. Even though I usually don’t play narrative-focused games, this one completely captivated me, becoming the first to truly get me interested in story-driven experiences. The map is vast and beautifully crafted, with a perfect blend of wild nature and futuristic ruins.

The combat system emphasizes stealth and ranged attacks, with a wide variety of weapons and traps that allow for tactical planning. However, melee combat is still present, providing different ways to handle the formidable mechanical enemies. The DLC further expands the world with new challenges and fascinating environments.

If you’re looking for a game that combines a compelling story with rich action gameplay, Horizon Zero Dawn is an unmissable experience.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - GOTY Edition

Dopo oltre 100 ore di gioco, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice continua a sorprendermi per la sua velocità, raffinatezza e immersione. Nonostante il protagonista utilizzi solo una katana, il combattimento non è mai monotono. Al contrario, questa scelta esalta la profondità del sistema di combattimento, che si basa su riflessi rapidi, parry perfetti e gestione della postura. Il gioco si distingue dai titoli precedenti di FromSoftware per il suo ritmo veloce e la sua enfasi sul duello diretto, dove ogni battaglia è un test di precisione e tempismo.

L’ambientazione immersiva del Giappone feudale, arricchita da elementi soprannaturali, amplifica ulteriormente l’esperienza. Ogni luogo è dettagliato, ricco di atmosfera e perfettamente integrato con la narrativa. Sekiro non solo sfida la tua abilità come giocatore, ma ti immerge in un mondo vibrante, difficile da dimenticare. Anche dopo tutto questo tempo, il gioco riesce ancora a stupirmi per come è fatto.

After spending over 400 hours on Elden Ring, I can confidently say it’s a true masterpiece. FromSoftware has taken the best elements of their past games, like Dark Souls, and expanded them into a vast, open world full of challenges, secrets, and stunning lore. For new players, I recommend starting with Dark Souls 1, as Elden Ring is much faster in combat. Playing Dark Souls first helps you understand the slower, more methodical combat system before jumping into Elden Ring’s more fluid and fast-paced mechanics. Otherwise, going back to Dark Souls after experiencing Elden Ring might make it feel too slow or clunky.

What sets Elden Ring apart is its expansive world, which never feels empty, rewarding exploration with hidden bosses, lore, and unique locations. The combat is challenging but fair, with faster movements and refined mechanics. Whether you’re a veteran of the series or a newcomer, Elden Ring offers one of the most rewarding and immersive experiences in gaming.
