Avec sa durée de vie honorable, boostée à gros coups de quêtes annexes plus ou moins intéressantes au début mais vite savoureuses par la suite, ce Pre-Sequel offre finalement une aventure similaire à celle d'un bon gros stand-alone comme on en attendrait plus souvent de la part de certains développeurs. Pas mal de petits plus permettent à ce nouvel épisode d'être apprécié à sa juste valeur, tant au niveau du gameplay qu'au niveau de l'aventure en elle-même et du contenu proposé. Cependant, votre sensibilité vis-à-vis de la série influencera beaucoup votre expérience. Ne vous attendez pas à une refonte complète comme aurait pu l'être celle proposée par un Borderlands 3, et persévérez si vous trouvez les premières heures trop classiques, car la seconde partie de l'aventure vaut clairement le détour. Vous aurez à coup sûr votre dose de hack'n slash shooter, avec des références à gogo, du contenu, et pas mal d'heures de jeu assurées. Est-ce suffisant pour autant ? Cela dépendra de vous !
