Overall it's a pretty fun roguelike with charming graphics and a lot of characters and weapon variety, but it definitely needs more polish in some aspects.

+ There are eight unlockable characters and each one of them is pretty unique, that combined with the significant amount of weapons and achievements available to do will give you some fun and varied runs that'll keep you occupied for a good while.

+ The graphics and the character designs (especially the witch according to the other reviews) of this game are pretty unique and charming, definitely a major highlight of this game. The OST is also pretty good and even surprises sometimes.

+ The game is pretty cheap, definitely worth the content it offers, if anything the game is underpriced.

+/- While the three-dimensionality of the game is pretty unique compared to other games of the genre, it sometimes causes some confusion regarding if a jump will be sufficient to dodge an enemy or an obstacle or even if you're in the same level as the enemy so you can shoot them.

+/- Again, the game is extremely fun to play, at least as long as you got any achievements or any self-imposed challenges to do, otherwise I feel that currently this game doesn't have enough content to make me feel like doing a run just for the fun of it, there are a lot of weapons and items but they alone aren't enough, hope the game gets more bosses and areas eventually.

+/- The bosses are too easy (for me at least). This is most likely due to their attacks patterns not being randomized, making them extremely predictable. The game has around 11 bosses and I can say that only one of them still gives me trouble after fighting them more than once .

+/- The difficulties do little to make your game harder, and the normal difficulty of the game is pretty easy. The only thing that I noticed that changes in higher difficulties is Chunks, and well...

- Chunks is pretty bad, at his best he's an obstacle you'll need to actively avoid for a while and at his worst he's just an annoying and time consuming chore. His speed is based on your character speed and, while this seems like a good balance option, it makes him easy to dodge with most characters, as they're all generally medium speed and Chunks is a menace only if you're too slow or too fast. He is also easily dealt with by shooting him while moving through rooms, it's kinda time consuming but you'll kill him eventually.

- Some hits you take just feel cheap. Unfortunately, entering into a room and immediately receiving a hit or having something spawn right above you without giving you the chance to react are pretty common occurrences.

So yeah, I got some gripes with it but overall the game is pretty solid and entertaining, would definitely recommend it.
  • Creative new desing
  • Lack of content
