Coming from Age of Empires 2, which is by no means a modern game yet incredibly fun and unique, AOE 3 Definitve Edition with its new art style completely misses the mark in my opinion.

The looks of it completely ruin my enjoyment of the experience, pairing it with an initial very slow time to spawn new units this game forces you to look at details that usually would come in second place as you get bored waiting almost a full minute to spawn a villager.

It was 5 euros, so not a huge loss, but I am definitely not impressed.
  • Smooth
  • Many campaign missions
  • Art style
  • Time to spawn
I´ve looked so hard for a game similar to this and there is not a single game out there that has this standard. It gives you everything you look for in a strategy game with this concept. I love it.

10/10.
very good game. You have to buy this because it's worth the money and recalls old memories of playing such a game. No negative things to point. Cheap and runs nicely on the minimum and highest quality no need for an expensive pc build.
  • better graphics
  • better gameplay
- Improved graphics for near distance but from far distance i’m sorry to say that but it’s just blurry, and very low design models if u compare with old version and units make me so confused for exemple gendarm looks like dragoons or samurai sometimes are very difficult to recognize them between musketeers.

- the models of units and buildings are smallers than TAD version even if u zoom in near distance also they standardised so much the models that results now they all looks same and are not very uniques anymore.

To be honest, I think the devs of aoe 3 classic got it rights, the game should looks good focusing from far distance instead of focusing only from near distance but forgetting the fact from far distance, now it’s just a big fail.
Here is my feelings about the new graphics after multiple hours of gaming, also i precise that i’ve a gaming pc and i run everything on max settings :
