First thing first, the prologue introduces us to a certain dynamic that works rather well. Then you'll live the nightmare, loved the eerie aura, unsettling, reinforced by the graphics, enhanced by the lights, this time, I totally buy it. We will then witsness some echoes to an ancient period with a witch hunt, it fits the story line. It's an era I like to see, here it's well used. Alternating nowadays and back to the old times is a bold choice and sure make the narrative much more captivating. Plus characters in disagreement is all I needed after Man of Medan. Coherent storyline! I honnestly also admire how creatures don't break anything for the plot but add a real thing instead.

Still not convinced? Here are two iconic lines which might make you want to play (litteraly into the prologue) :
"The Devil himself would struggle with you guys..." - [talking about education with] your own dad
"I do enjoy a good funeral" -First encounter with the curator.
  • Mood (lights, graphics, eerie atmosphere)
  • Transition -back to the future (echoes with a witch hunt)
  • Irony
  • Stuck in my mind forever
  • Can't spoil too much
