Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown - Silver Sharps Edition - PC (Steam)

The game graphics looks good (similar gfx to other race games like the crew 2) i would say they need some improvements. When runing the game one max ultra settings there is almost no diffrence vs it on medium/high besides a huge frame rate drop. Even at lower settings with a good gfx card/high end pc can maybe get about 60fps but it fluctuates like crazy.

With that said. The racing is fun for the first couple races...as the ai ramps up from novice to expert then u get to a point that u just cant win, if u hit that bump just wrong, or u brake wrong u fall behind and cant catch up. The ai drives the race perfect and has a hidden nos or something as they can take a corner at high speed drop to a crawl then rocket out of the corner at max speed some how? For a casual racer its just not fun to race in.

Handling in the car is ok...but i cant drift around corners very well or i lose a ton of speed and normaly go flying off the road slowing me down even more...or making the game reset me...so instead to turn on most 90 degree turns u have to slow down to grandma speeds then hope and pray that the ai dosnt just take u out. The cars feel like im driving a brick full of bricks driving on bricks....not fun

The prices on cars are stupidly high...a vw bug they have it priced at somewere in the 200-500k ???? Its a 10k car MAYBE 20k for a newish one in real life. An parts are 15-20k a piece ...at least. Im not looking for totaly realistic but come on thats just stupidly high.

Customization is nearly non-existent, most cars u can change the rims (maybe 20ish options) and the color of the car, u can chabge the window tint, can change the interior colors, and if u have earned them u can put some "stickers" on ur car...really???? Thats it??? What am i a 5 year old they have to give me stickers for doing stuff in the game? Not rewarding at all and boring customization.

The charater model (not car but character) is just ugly, compared to the rest of the gfx this one has me confused. It looks like the gfx are modern 2023/2024ish for cars and world but the character models are from 1999 tomb raider. The girl faces look like men...the men look kinda girly body (cant make them buff or skinny). I know u say but this is a race game...ya but each race u are FORCED to watch as ur ugly avatar jumps up and down like a miss shappened creature and clap or through its arms in the air like a seal....u CANNOT skip these "cut scenes"

Leading me to this part as well...if u crash in a race and u know u cant win now (cuz u cant catch up if u make a mistake) u have 2 options.

1: abandon the race and wait for laod screens to then restart said race.

2: keep trucking along and lose miserably and sit through the unskippable "cut scenes" of ur ugly avatar. (On the plus side even if u lose u still win the same amount for some reason???)

The game is half baked only 90+ cars at release (not enough) and all of them are over priced in the game so grind grind grind! Its always online so u cant pause to go pee or get a drink or anything. The few times u can play with players is very rare and if they have a better car to bad u lose.

No cop chases, only time trials and basic racing seems to be the normal options for them.

On a good note: the cars look like good shiny plastic cars and they did get hong kong pretty good minus the traffic ?

Fun game overall, not the same as the previous ones but i like it

It's bad after a month servers still barely work, optimization is still terrible as well

Too much server issues and poor optimization, rest of the game is also not ready yet strongly advice to wait a couple months before you should buy it.
