From Strength to Strength

A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.


Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.

It's a good game. I confess that you need a good machine to have good performance. But in terms of story and gameplay, I really like it.

This is definitely the best game I have played so far since I first started playing on console back then. The story, the characters and their development, the graphics and the music are all S tier. The combat is more like DMC and it goes incredibly hard ? Nothing is more fun, than to completely destroy a boss, by mixing multiple eikon abilities and keeping a combo up long enough to deal additional damage! The only complaint I have is the performance... It's far better than something like MH Wilds, but I'd still say it could be better... But honestly, looking at how gorgeous this game looks, even on the lowest graphical settings... It really makes sense that it sometimes dips slightly under 60 FPS, though in some scenes I was surprised that it even hit 30, at how amazing the visuals were... Definitely a must play, for anyone who's looking for something like DMC ? And for people who are less skilled, there are items to aid and make the experience just as fun!

Final Fantasy 16 feels like a major letdown. The gameplay is repetitive and quickly becomes boring, with little variety to keep things engaging. The overly linear structure leaves no room for meaningful exploration or player choice, making the experience feel more like a chore than an adventure. While the graphics are decent and visually impressive at times, they’re not enough to salvage what ultimately feels like a shallow and uninspired entry in the series. Disappointing overall.

It's a very pretty game, and there's fun to be had. But overall the gameplay is bad and repetitive.

Enemies are not reactive to what you do, they do their thing while u do yours and you end up winning because ofc u do. The only way you'll die is if you go against the boses that over level you because of their massive dmg output

There's no need to grind, money is for the most part useless as are most of the ressources you find. And even the items are just uninspired. New sword are just a new skin with a better atk stat. No passives no nothing.

That extends to the Elemental magic, it's just pretty colours but there are no affinity weaknesses so just take the skills you like I guess.

Story is okay but very predictable, not sure why people sing so many prases about it.

It's not a bad game but you can do much better if you want to play an action rpg.

after 2 days of intensive play, here is my feeling:

- graphics / ost: 10/10

- outfits: 4/10

- story: 7/10

- secondary quests: 1/10

- combat system: 2/10

25/50 -> 5/10 to this I will add:

- fights based on one thing: yes, dodging -> -1

- world map: not visitable, only teleportations -> -1

- slow, soft, repetitive game: yes -> -1

- if we remove the primordials and put lambda monsters instead we have the same result, I haven't currently felt the "magic" of final fantasy -> -1

- ff10, ff15, ff16: same face hero design, square-enix can't make new one? 25/50 - 5 = 20/50 -> 4/10

please square-enix come back to good rpg and not action/rpg to create next good final fantasy. after 3 days: too much thing to remember ff14 after 2 weeks: story: 6/10 lenth: 1/10 25/60 - 5 = 20/60 -> 3/10
