Got the key early. This game retells the the first half of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which means it stops before each of the main factions/kingdoms are created. It creates a lot of missions to help make this relative short and over looked time period into a reasonable time frame.

Great game. It's a greatly enhanced DW(Dynasty Warriors, also known as musou games) game. Unlike the previous DW6, DW7 that focus on giving you as many characters as possible and DW8 going for Open World. DWO took many elements in games like Wo Long Fallen Dynasty and give you sophisticated martial arts moves and somewhat soul-like combat. That is said they balanced the design by offering 3 different difficulties. In the easiest difficulty it's a lot less "soul-like" so much more forgiving on errors. But the enemies are no longer punchbags even in the easist difficulty so it would not be a boring feast. Fans who like challenges can take on higher difficulties and enjoy a soul-like experience. All of the character models look great but only about 4 female characters exist in the game. The battles with thousands of soldiers and tactics make me feel like I'm reliving the three kingdoms era. Overall I throughly enjoyed it as a fan of Nioh, DW, and Wo Long. In my opinion this is the most enjoyable DW game in the last decade.

After several disappointments trying to get the nostalgia feel of the old dynasty warriors games, this game brought me that, and more, AND HOW. It has brought me my faith if koei tecmo games, which had been lost several years back. Of course, i might have waited way more to buy it if not for the offer I found here. I am extremely satisfied with the product.
