The recent wave of mixed reviews overlooked: Souls-like games, were never designed for everyone. Their inherent challenge the punishing consequences of mistakes. While Elden Ring achieved widespread acclaim and recognition as game of the year, the Souls series' difficulty has always been a defining feature, and this inherent challenge is why it's not, and never was intended to be, a game for everyone. The current debate, therefore, isn't about the game's quality, but about its target audience and the expectations of players who may not fully appreciate its design philosophy.

Absolutely phenomenal game with pure fun every time you play and endless replayability. Actually I have 218 hours in this game and this game is amazing.

i am in LOVE with this game, i had very low expectations even from a huge elden ring fan but woww its actually amazing. i have no friends to play with so i thougth id just stick to the solo mode but the random mathcmaking works insanely well people are actually all decent at the game and want to win. THE NIGHTLORDS ARE SOME OF THE MOST INSANE BOSSES IVE EVER SEEN!!!!! if this game keeps getting update and the problems get fixed this can be a 10/10 (i might be biased though lol)

Fun game, but I do have a small issue: usually it crashes after three rounds. Thankfully, it starts right back up and works fine for another three rounds. Still, it’s a fun game, and I don’t really mind the crashes as long as I can keep playing. I’m not entirely sure if it’s an Instant Gaming issue or a Steam issue, but like I said earlier, it’s a fun game.

Its a wonderful co-op game, very fun, difficult and rewarding. Might not have the longest life and I foresee perhaps being a bit repetitive at some point, but for the asking price is really good. Pure Soulslike fan service.

Been having lots of fun with the game

Shame you need to have to play with 3 other player since the difficulty is scaled for that.

Game is still very much playable solo, even if it was done poorly in my opinion.

Still a blast to play a rogue like base off of elden ring.

There is still a lot of nostalgia baiting with all the "old" enemies you can encounter (especially the nameless king from ds3 info going around)
