Description

World of Tanks is an MMO (massively multiplayer online) game in which the player controls his or her choice of heavy combat vehicle (tank, in other words) from all over the world, choosing from tanks manufactured between 1910 and 1970.

About the Game

You control your tank’s movement and firing, and you can communicate with other players who are allied to you, and, separately, with the other players in the game through text or voice chat, depending on your gaming set up. You win the game by taking out all the tanks on the other side, or by holding possession of the opposition base without incurring excessive damage for a set period of time.

Your tank can be camouflaged – which renders you less visible to other players, not invisible, shell ricochets can occur, bouncing up to damage your opponents if you learn how to shoot in just the right way. Too much damage to your tanks and personnel can result in you losing the game, so keep an eye on your people and avoid damage when you can.

Clan Wars, which is analogue with co-operative play, offers another two ways to play: namely, Strongholds and The Global Map.

Strongholds start with one zone and can grow as big as four zones as Clan membership increases. There are many types of stronghold buildings available, but only one of each can be built during play. Building and maintaining the stronghold can trigger missions or enable airstrikes or artillery during skirmishes. You can gain more industrial material by attacking other strongholds or through the abovementioned skirmishes.

The Global Map is a collection of battle fronts laid over a real world map. Clan owners choose the best-looking area and battle for it, becoming the owner if they win.

The Nitty Gritty

This game offers a plethora of choices: first, you choose from six different types of battle. Random battles: in these, you can play in platoons, groups of two or three players who are in an alliance, or you can play 15 vs 15 with AI filling any spaces on the team. Team-training battles allow you and your friends to learn how to work together. Tank-company battles, putting what you’ve learned into action. The final two are stronghold, and special battles.

There are over 600 different tank models available, from countries as diverse as Britain, China, the Soviet Union, Sweden, the US, and a host of countries within the EU: namely, Czechoslovakia, France, Japan, Italy, Poland, Germany among others. Each country has a tech tree along which you can progress from the lowliest tank tier I to tier X, the highest on at least one branch of the ‘tree’.

All of these tanks can be divided into five types of tank, which are: Light Tanks, Mediumweight Tanks, Heavy Tanks, Tank Destroyers, and Self-propelled artillery.

Your vehicles can be customised to some degree: with turrets, tracks, guns, and engines all being purchasable modules. Two- and three-tone camo patterns are available too, as well as authentic liveries from each country and appropriate year. Your vehicle can benefit from the addition of up to three extra pieces of kit: which offer benefits that range from extra durability under fire, to the ability to fire faster, to enjoying stealth cover while stationary.

Choose Your Consumables

Each vehicle also carries three consumable items which include items like:

  • First aid kits: keep an eye on your crew’s health and patch them up when necessary

  • Repair kits: patching up your tank can keep you going for long enough to win the battle

  • Fire extinguishers: fire in a tank is never a good thing

  • Nation-specific extra rations: boost the crew’s stamina during a battle by feeding them meals that remind them of home and what they are fighting for!

  • World of Tanks is great for historical re-enactments, or just getting out there and having fun!

Used to be good game. Today is just pay to win and nothing else. Matchmaking is terrible and you either winning 80% of battles or losing 80% of battles. Amount of RNG in this game is crazy. You can have full aim on target but it doesnt mean it will hit. Most of the time it wont as game says big no to you.

Pats blogiausias Online žaidimas kuri esu bet kada žaidęs. Taisyklės bei tankų konfigūracijos keičiamos kas atnaujinimą, kainos pirkimui labai jau per didelės, pilna ne sąžiningai žaidžiančių žaidėjų..
