Description

Dragon Ball FighterZ for PC is a 2.5D fighting game based on the original Japanese manga series of the same name. Despite the capital Z at the end of the name, the word is pronounced as the regular word ‘fighters’ with no especial emphasis on the final sibilant.

About the Game

The player chooses two fellow fighters and faces up to a team of three opposing rivals. The battle is won when all three opponents are defeated – or lost when your whole team goes down. You will only control one character at a time, but you can call upon your teammates to perform specialised combo moves and to work together when necessary.

Each character has moves that are unique to them while there are several moves that are universal – that is to say, all the fighters can perform them. Read more about these moves below. Once you have mastered the universal moves, make sure that you try out as many of the unique moves as possible: there are twenty-four characters to choose between so you will have a good choice of new skills that you like or are particularly good at.

Rendering SkillZ & Fighting Mojo

The game looks great and the play rate is smooth because each character is carefully modelled in 3D but textured to match the 2D manga cartoon style that looks hand-drawn while offering authentic and dynamic movement capability.

The fighting part is easily mastered after a little practice, being fairly intuitive and relatively simple. You can tailor your attacks from light to toy with your opponent or get them to move into a better position to unleash a combo-storm on them, to medium to show you’re not messing around, to full power to administer the coup de grace and dispatch them from the game altogether.

A Lot of Back Story

The video game series is rooted in the manga book series, as mentioned above, and this gives the writers a lot of fertile ground to work through. The book series has been running for well over thirty years, and features hundreds of characters and androids, along with many different storylines to play through.

The game developers have wisely kept things fairly simple, using only a few (twenty-four) of the hundreds of characters and keeping the storylines simple with enough challenging battles and enough believability to keep a player engaged from the first step until the last.

The characters’ stories all have linking shots that revel a little more about them, and offer tantalising teasers to their back stories – all of which can encourage newbies to the game and series to investigate a bit more, finding out the meaning of the hints and unravelling mysterious clues about their character.

Universal Moves and Some Others

  • Vanish Attack: sacrifice some Ki to vanish from your opponent’s sight and reappear behind them from where you can safely stab them in the back. Unsporting, but effective!

  • Dragon Rush: overwhelm your opponent’s guard and force them to change team members or take refuge with an aerial combo. A highly effective manoeuvre when performed correctly

  • Super Dash: this powerful flying attack homes in on the lead opponent and passes through lesser barriers as though they aren’t there

  • Ki Charge: allows players to manually charge their Ki gauge – a highly useful feat that has been seen in other games in the series

  • Dragon Ball FighterZ for PC for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Good fighting game with amazing cartoon like graphics and great variety of characters as well as their moves. The signature moves are anime accurate and with that special addition of the dramatic finishes. Only downside is the low effort story mode that could've had a better progression mechanic and more challenging battles.
    • Amazing graphics.
    • Solid characters with their signature moves.
    • Anime easter eggs.
    • Mediocre story mode.
    • Low number of active players (hard to find online matches).

Let me start by saying the game looks absolutely gorgeous. It feels like you are in the DBZ universe.

This game feel great and really interesting in the gameplay.
An original story mode that make the game better than many other Dragon Ball / Dragon ball Z video games.
I'll for sure recommended the game to some friends of mine, especially on computer platform.

The game is beautiful, the animation is worth it and the story is short but ok... but god Im bad at fighters games

AI and bots are easy enough, but be careful of real players, you're gonna get your ars kicked if you're not trained enough.

Do I even need to say anything? Guilty Gear Graphics with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 gameplay, All the while having anime styled animation and brilliant attention to detail, WHILE STILL BEING ONLY 20% DONE. I can't fucking wait for this game to come out, and MAYBE Steam will get that hookup and get a beta version as well.
