It has good monster design and the areas look good. The mechanics are really tiresome however, you have to manually swap animon in and out of your box to utilize different traversal abilities. The combat got pretty boring eventually as well.

I liked that you had two paths you could freely choose between in the beginning, but when you eventually travel the second path, you realize the same story is being told with your companions again, sometimes with the exact same dialogue. I liked a few of the city story lines, but I probably won't remember any of them in a month.

There is a lot of potential here, so it could be interesting to see a sequel one day, but I would be very cautious based on my experience with this game.
