Description

Long ago, the human realm was ruled by Adyr, a terrible and malevolent god, who enslaved mankind. But over time, rebellion grew in the hearts of men. Led by three powerful beings - the Judges - man rose up and overthrew Adyr and his monstrous Rhogar army, banishing them to a distant dimension. Humanity was finally free to dictate its own destiny. To dictate a new order...

Now, millennia later, in a land where no sins are forgiven and redemption does not exist, Adyr threatens to break free from his imprisonment. His Rhogar legions have invaded the human realm to pave a bloody path for their vengeful master’s return. Desperate and under siege, mankind calls upon an unlikely saviour - a convicted sinner rejected by society and cast out of the light... a man known as Harkyn. Branded with the tattoos of his immorality, he must travel to the source of this Darkness and face… the Lords of the Fallen.

Prepare to plunge into a dark fantasy Action-RPG, set amidst a grim world on the brink of annihilation. Harness powerful magic. Master a complex and satisfying melee combat system. Seek redemption through the fires of battle... and stand against a God.

Explore a Vast, Dark Fantasy World

From crumbling tower tops to ancient burial grounds, delve into a world facing mass destruction. Navigate labyrinthine paths and uncover hidden passages in pursuit of great treasures, but be warned: loot isn’t all that awaits the curious...

Conquer a Complex, Combat System

With every encounter presenting its own unique challenge, only those who master the deep and rewarding Soulslike combat will taste victory. Bolster your steel with devastating magic attacks, and earn XP with every kill to upgrade your preferred spells and attributes.

Confront the Lords of the Rhogar Army

While every Rhogar is guaranteed to test your mettle, by far the greatest threat amongst Adyr’s army is posed by his mighty generals, the towering Lords of the Fallen. These calamitous boss battles will test even the most skillful of warriors - one false move and the fate of the world could be sealed.

Wield Legendary Weapons and Epic Armour

Customise your combat style with a multitude of weapons and armours. Armour arrives in three forms: light for nimble players, medium for all-rounders, and heavy for those unafraid to absorb a blow. As for weapons, a vast array of hammers, staves, axes, swords, daggers, and claws are at your disposal in the battle against the Rhogar army. And then, there are those rare and powerful items of legend that only the most dedicated warriors will ever find…

If you've got money to waste go ahead, but it's a horrible dark souls wanna be.. I don't recommend. If you're looking for a challenge and enjoyable moments learning how to beat a boss, this game ain't it, just strafe left or right and the boss or enemies won't hit ya or will just magically teleport on ya.. If you're a true dark souls fan you can complete this with no armor easily, I completed a couple off bosses without armor and got hit once or twice since of the bug.

Great pc game! Great graphics, great story line and, players journey through mysterious, large interconnected environments, battling beastly, disfigured enemies, including bosses, using melee weapons, such as axes and hammers. Players control Harkyn as he is sent on a mission to stop a powerful god's mysterious demonic forces as they invade the world to reclaim it after being dethroned.

Wow. What to say? Well, I guess I could start with how big of a let down this game was. I mean yeah, for the €1,5 tag, who could complain, right? Wrong. All I can say positive about this game is the graphics. I don't know what engine this uses, but either it sux, or they frikn crushed it. Gameplay feels so wrong, slow, weird, clunky, unnatural, wobbly. It feels like I'm using a gamepad for the first time ever, when I'm actually playing with mouse and keyboard, just like I have my whole life. The movement is just plain wrong. Very poor optimization. And just to be clear, my PC is 6 months old, and high spec, so it most definitely is not the cause of this. Also, I have fiddled around with settings and sensitivity, but to no avail. I'm not even mad, I'm just bummed out because I had high hopes for this game. Well, can't win 'em all, right?

The best game ever. I love it. BTW The greatest challenge Lords of the Fallen provides isn't a welcome one: it's easy to lose yourself in the crypts and corridors, unsure of where the game means for you to go. Every region cleverly connects with others, and unlocking a new door often leads you to a familiar area, provoking cries of "Eureka

Lords of the Fallen has fun combat and a good spin on Dark Souls' skill system, but its hero is overpowered
Lords of the Fallen delivers entertaining hack-and-slash combat centered on combos and spells, but its risk-based reward system seems slightly out of place in a world where its hero so easily achieves great power and defense and makes risk obsolete. It achieves its goal of creating a more accessible Dark Souls-style experience, but unfortunately it goes a step or two too far

Great game for 15 euros. Graphics are top notch for the time.
Dark Souls-esque game which is sometimes even harder than it, at least when on normal or hard difficulty.
If you like Dark Souls, this is worth it. And it's only 5 euros now...

This game is basically a reboot of Dark Souls, but easier, which is both a good and a bad thing. It's a good thing for those who thought DS was too difficult but its fans will be somewhat disappointed.
You can make the game more difficult or easier by choosing how you play it: if you add any ranged element it'll be a lot easier than if you choose to go all in the monster's faces.
The story is decent but the 'you don't know who you are and what you did prior to the game starting' bit is really old and one can assume everybody's gotten tired of it.
On the positive side, the character doesn't swing around an obviously heavy weapon as if it were made out of Styrofoam, you get the feel that the weapons and shields have weight and have to incorporate this information into timing your attacks and counters.
Although I listed some bad things, this is not a bad game. It's more than decent to excellent, sound and voice acting included. And if you don't mind the cape clipping the shield when you move (which is almost all the time), you will find the graphics to be outstanding.
  • Outstanding graphics
  • Interesting difficulty system
  • Animations are very good
  • Not as difficult as Dark Souls
  • Buggy AI at times
  • Clipping is always in your face
  • Easier than Dark Souls

Lords of the Fallen è un action fantasy nato tra la collaborazione tra il produttore di The Witcher 2 e le ambiziose case sviluppatrici Deck 13 e CI Games.

Storia

  • Graficamente eccellente
  • Gameplay ben riuscito
  • Storia irrilevante
  • Ambientazioni potevano essere migliori

Lords of the Fallen plays a lot like a more forgiving version of Dark Souls, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stand on its own. The world and characters have great design, the game looks absolutely stunning and the combat feels fluid with some weight behind it.
  • Epic Design
  • Poorly Optimized

Lords of the Fallen is a third person action-role-playing game with heavy emphasis on melee combat mechanics and tactics.

The Great:

- Melee combat is exceptional and some of the best in the industry
- Significant weapon variety that leads to numerous differing yet satisfying playstyles
- Each weapon's unique playstyle feels great and is fun to experiment with
- Combat is timing and pattern based making each encounter important and fulfilling to complete
- Game is gorgeous to look at even with details turned down

The Good:

- Environments are beautiful and intricately crafted (if a little small)
- Enemy and boss designs are interesting and show creativity

The Bad:

- The story is forgettable, confusing at times and makes little sense given the scope of the game
- The side characters feel tacked on, tropish, and overall of little value or consequence
- The main character is meant to be a jerk, and there are few options to choose not to be a jerk

Conclusion:

The game is simply Eye Candy, and the writing of the characters and story leaves much to be desired, but the combat in both its precision and variety is able to save this game from the trash pile and ultimately make it one of the best RPGs of the year.
