Description

Rocket League for PC is a vehicular soccer game in which the player controls a car as it punts around a massive ball, aiming to evade the opposition and score goals. Oh, and the cars are all rocket powered! The ball is larger than the cars, adding a satisfactory visual aspect to well crafted strikes and goals.

About the Game


The premise of the game is laughably simple: drive your rocket car at the giant ball and wallop it into the goal: score! Repeat until the game is over and you – hopefully – win. Of course, if this was all, the game would soon become tiresome, but there are enough additional extras, power-ups and cool features to keep you coming back for more and more hours of absorbing driving play.

Certain areas on the floor, which are clearly marked, give you boosts that can be saved until you need them, and the vehicles are remarkably agile, able to both jump and dodge out of the way when necessary. The field of play is a smooth arena with rounded edges so cars have no difficulty driving up the walls and even onto the ceiling.

The cars feel lightweight and responsive and will take you back to the pleasingly acrobatic remote control moon buggies of your youthful Christmases while the ball is pleasingly beefy with a rubbery give to its bounce that is most satisfying to witness.

As well as scoring goals, you earn points by taking out the opposition. They will instantly respawn on the spot, so there is no disruption to the business of shunting the ball around and getting it into the goal. Excellent saves, particularly athletic moves, and getting the ball away from your goal line will also rack up some useful points for you.

The player is usually one of a team of two, facing off against two opponents, but there are options to play one on one and in teams of up to four players per side. You can play by yourself, against AI opposition, but the game comes into its own in multiplayer mode when you are faced with the sometimes random or unexpected actions of other people: something that logical AI struggles to emulate.

  • This game is a sequel, the follow-on to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars which turned out to be something of an overlarge mouthful, name-wise. Hence the change of name to the current snappier title

  • Look out for cross over vehicles as you kit out your chosen car. There is a partnership with the much-loved Hot Wheels vehicles, as well as favourites such as the Back to the Future DeLorean, Jurassic World’s jeep, the Batmobile and a host of fabulous super cars as seen in the Fast and the Furious franchise amongst many others

  • You can also play hockey and basketball with your vehicle, you are not limited to soccer. These were originally introduced as seasonal specials, but proved so popular with players that the developers made them into secondary modes of play, available all the time

    Bad Matchmaking. 1 game out of 5 is entertaining and balanced. The rest of the time you ether run over your opponent or get destroyed by them. The only positiv thing are the frequently changing Events.

    Biggest Sh*t Game ever made. Played it a lot to make sure its not my imagination and its fact, that the matchmaking is hundred percent manipulated. One time you get the biggest trashopponents and then only Pros in a Row. Then theres a lot of random sh*t goin on. I cant see that as gaming thats just sensless timewaste

    The game that you will have no clue how the hell you're supposed to hit the ball while mid-air efficiently for the first 100 hours of your gameplay!
    Rocket league is a fast paced soccer game with cars.
    Concept is really simple.Here is a tutorial.
    1| Pick a car that suits you.
    2| Join a match.
    3| Hit the ball until you score.
    4| Feel great and brag about your goal to everyone else in the match.
    Seriously now,it's a game that you can't easily get bored of if you're into fast paced games.
    The mechanics are super hard to master so in order to climb to high elo you'll have to spend a lot of time practicing.
    Teamwork is the key to climb btw!
    When you do git gut at the game though,it feels really satisfying and game gets even more exciting.

    I've always enjoyed playing this game. I started playing in season 3 and since then, it has become so much better. The community, compeittiveness, and the overall enjoyment you get out of it, especially when messing around with friends

    300hrs in and I still can't get enough of this game. Love the whole thing, I have no complaints. You get a lot of fun "kicking" the ball with your favorite car (which you can customize a lot by the way). Nice ranking and matchmaking.

    Good game overall, but the online level is too high for new players, and most of the time you will find yourself playing the same game mode as the others need good skill in ball management. Git Gud guys.

    Ein sehr schönes Spiel, für den Preis für unter 10€. Jedoch macht es alleine wenig Spaß. Ich empfehle es mit Freunden zu spielen, und am besten mit einem Controller, da man meiner Meinung nach damit viel besser damit spielen kann.

    A really solid, good game. There are however some problems with it as any other game such but I've racked up almost 1000h on it and putting aside the occasional "desync" or "hit reg" issues it is really fun to play!

    This game is a ton of fun, it is addictive and physics are great. But games matchmaking still needs improvement becouse sometimes you need to wait long times in the lobby or you get way better players against you. But overall gameplay is solid. Rocket league has many different gamemodes.

    If you are looking for a fun/competitive game then you found it! For some people the game looks easy but trust me it has a long learning curv to it, not everyone can master it but it's a fun experience.

    It is ether a rage simulator or extreme fun simulator. Its all up to you . but i totally recommend this game. It is extremely fun with friends. Keep in mind that if you want to experience true game play, get some good controller . The game wont work good on low end systems such as core2quad cpu and 64bit graphic cards.
