Description
In Dead Space 2, you join Isaac Clarke, the Systems Engineer from Dead Space, as he wakes up three years after the horrific events on the USG Ishimura. The Ishimura was a Planetcracker-class starship besieged by grotesque reanimations of its dead crew, known as “Necromorphs.”
After unearthing a strange artifact known as the Marker, Isaac finds himself on the Sprawl, a giant space station in orbit around Saturn. Unable to remember how he got here and plagued with demented visions of his dead girlfriend Nicole, he must survive another nightmarish outbreak of Necromorphs as he fights his way towards an answer he hopes will end all the chaos.
Key Features:
- Tear through space with full 360 degree movement.
- Wield a set of devastating tools to bring the terror to space. Impale Necromorphs into the walls with the Javelin, use improved telekinesis to turn limbs into deadly weapons, plant powerful dismembering trip mines, or create a hull-breach to suck a group of monsters out into space.
- Fire up Isaac’s suit boosters to rocket around in zero gravity like never before. Explore the depths of the Sprawl and encounter new weightless combat and physics-based puzzles with full 360⁰ movement.

Dead Space 2
Isaac Clarke awakens on a facility on Saturn’s moon Titan three years after the events of the USG Ishimura, the necromorphs are back to dismember everyone in sight. Isaac is still having hallucinations of his girlfriend whom is dead.
Story
The plot is similar to first Dead Space, the storytelling has changed with the three-year development gap. You are now on a space station called the Sprawl that has been built in the remains of Saturn’s moon titan, unlike the first game you witness the outbreak live starting the game in a stray jacket trying to escape while witnessing the death of others by the necromorphs. If someone has never played the first game not to worry the intro does a lot to recap the player and there is also a short film to fill in players what has previously happened.
Gameplay
The visuals from the first game has been improved creating a better lighting effect and smoother textures. Not being set on an abandoned space ship this time around the game has a bit of a different art style giving the game a sleeker look to it instead of that rough edged style but not moving far from the original art style and keeping the HUD from the first game exactly the same in the second which I really like to see.
You kill the necromorphs the same way you did in first Dead Space game, by shooting off its limbs off. Keeping each enemy encounter tense while the necromorphs run towards you or try and surround you while you have to keep that steady aim to dismember them and stay alive.
Dead Space 1.5?
All the necromorphs are back from the first game just with updated graphics and there are a few new enemy types to fight through, some of the weapons has had their alternate firing modes altered in Dead Space 2 from one making them more useful. Also there are four new weapons added into Dead Space 2 which are Seeker Rifle, Detonator, Beam Contact and a Javeling Gun.
The process to find gear has also gone through changes but you still have to find schematics and power nodes, however this time around searching for these power node rooms is more rewarding giving some new suits and weapons, giving the player a better reason to search for these rooms unlike the first game giving only ammo and upgrade materials.
The upgrade system works the same as it did in the first game, requiring and upgrade bench before you can use materials to upgrade. Finding these benches is much easier to find this time around having your objective marker cycle between waypoints and not only show the way to the mission.
Final verdict
Overall keeping the game similar to the first game and not moving too far to change everything, keeping the game feel like a proper sequel to Dead Space and continuing the story and adding to the game play seamlessly.

Un juegazo sin duda uno de los mejores survival horror que he jugado, ya lo había jugado antes pero me invadio la nostalgia lo obtuve para PC y la historia me sigue atrapando, la inmersión es imensa además sigue teniendo buen aspecto.
