Description

A zombie outbreak wiped out civilization as we know it. Hordes of zeeks gnawed their way to the top, becoming the world’s apex predator. Regular humans are now an endangered species, with isolated pockets struggling to survive in this new, unforgiving world.

Welcome to HumanitZ, an isometric, open-world, sandbox survival game, where you can try to make a difference and put humanity back where it belongs - at the top of the food chain.

Will you gamble on cities and scavenge loot, knowing hordes of zeeks might be around the corner? Or do you try to survive off the land in the country, through hunting, fishing, and farming?

Survive in an Open Sandbox World

A vast, cruel world stretches from untamed wilderness to dense urban cities, with each location offering resources and risk. Exploration is rarely safe and never predictable as you face infected wildlife, zeek hordes, and hostile survivors roaming the landscape. Drivable vehicles become essential tools for survival, allowing you to cross dangerous territory, haul supplies, carry companions, and push farther into hostile environments. Will you find aid and trade at survivor camps, or violent confrontation as you take over enemy bandit bases?

If the infected and other survivors aren’t enough, hunger, exposure, and a dynamic weather system constantly threaten your chances of making it through another day. For those willing to keep moving forward when others stop, the path leads to The Island, and the truth behind the outbreak and its terrors left undiscovered.

Live off the Land!

Pick through the ruins of the old world and scavenge resources to survive, or retreat to the hills to avoid the shambling remnants of humanity. Set up a farm, forage, hunt wildlife, or fish to sustain yourself. Each choice can mean the difference between lasting another day or becoming part of the ruins.

Solo, Co-op & Online Play

Survive your way. Play solo, cooperatively, or online in PvE and PvP modes with dedicated servers and proximity voice chat. Whether you face the apocalypse alone or with friends watching your back, the choice is yours.  In a desolate world, even solo survivors learn quickly that befriending a dog or horse companion can mean the difference between life and death.

Robust Character Customization

Design your chosen survivor with professions, afflictions, and a skill-tree system.  Then outfit your survivor with a plethora of weaponry and gear that shape how you endure the apocalypse.

Craft and Build for Survival

Use an extensive crafting and building system to create what you need to survive, from gear and consumables to vehicles. Craft and customize weapons with attachments and modifications to survive relentless threats and hunt game. Upgrade vehicles with armor, weapons, and storage capacity to adapt to the risks ahead.

Then construct a safe house, fortify your base against threats using defensive structures like electrified fences and concrete barricades, or reclaim a burned-out house as a new place to live.

Endure the Zeeks

Not all zeeks are slow and stupid. Adapt and improvise against numerous zeek variants, or you'll risk becoming zombie fodder.  Customize your game sessions using extensive game-altering settings, or push yourself further by enabling Permadeath Mode if you dare.

The apocalypse claims everyone, eventually. If not through a zombie’s maw, then through hunger, exposure, treacherous terrain, or other people. How long will you last?

Fun survival game with a managable scope. Regular updates that add stuff as well as fix stuff. I bought this a while ago not too long after release and have been back to it several times to play with updated mechanics. If you like 7DTD like I did you should be able to have a bunch of fun with this game.

I actually like this game. Unlike many of the weird bad reviews I'm reading on here seems a bit off to me. First, the gameplay for a very small team is good enough. It is a pretty big map with a lot to explore. There are also a ton of loot to find as well. Looting system rewards you with pretty good loot (I found an AK, suppressor, chainsaw in one place) . The developers do in fact update their games. They updated the overall camera angle and is coming out with another update this month. The melee weapons aren't bad at all and you can make many different kinds for your situation. The crafting system is pretty good too which I'm not sure why some are hating on it. Mind you, I'm playing on a much later updated build than many of the reviews on here. Zombies do in fact stagger and fall down. You also have kill moves and sneak attacks. The gun play is done well. You can shoot a zombie in the head once usually and it is down. The guns feel great when you hit something far away. You can hunt animals, bandits, and the zombies even go after everything else other than you. You can build and craft and upgrade bases, you can even get a dog companion (once you find him). The game has Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter seasons, and they are done well. The cold will cause you to get sick if out too long. During the winter season, the snowstorms are well done and the rain effects melt the snow. I don't know how the game was in early stages, but play the game for yourselves which usually isn't expensive at all. The developers play and stream their game because they are passionate for it. I think the issue is we don't see more developers doing this at all.

everything in this game feels wrong.... cars, driving, crafting, guns, and combat in general.... just get project zomboid... this game clearly takes inspiration from pz but without doing anything better

Is really like list day on earth, but gamplay is so cumbersome . The grafic is a littel worst than the images but is not important . I hope the developers improves the moves and the fight. Probably i try again in the future.
  • A lot of craft
  • Nice survival
  • Fight

One of the most lacking in balance and content games I have come across for its genre,

The devs are more focused on streaming themselves like children than having to balance out the weapons and add in more content.

Firearms have the worst possible rate of fire and also waste a lot of ammo,

You can fire a fully automatic smg or rifle and only one shot pre-third - fourth round will hit the zed.

This is a total waste of ammo.

Melee weapons, do not effectively stagger zeds like you would expect. State of decay 1 and 2 had a lot better CQC battle mechanics and all than this game. You can swing a bladed or blunt melee weapon but it will only just slightly stagger a zed it will not entirely drop them or cause them to fall over.

This is cause the devs are too busy giggling and show boating like 14 yr olds trying to pretend they have something going for them. This is not what a gaming company does... they don't just go for all show and no go.. they go for the entire 20 yards, quality-notch gaming with a rich and crisp experience that will make the consumer want to keep playing .. why do you think Westwood studios and square soft and other older games kept gamers interested and the modding community in high spirits to create content for the games? And today.. games are lacking the essentials
  • A good example of why gaming has become horrible
  • Self obsessed devs that are more focused on recording themselves like 13 - 16yr old teenagers
  • Bad weapon balancing.
  • Lacks building options and weapon selection

I found this to be pretty tedious. It turned very repetitive very quickly. It's not for me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
