Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC is an action adventure, open world game in which the player can roam freely with some elements playing out in third person, others in first person play modes. The player can commit crimes, but must then be prepared for law enforcement to hunt them down, ready to bring to bear the full weight of the law on the miscreant!
About the Game
RDR2, as the game is affectionately known, was released for other platforms before the PC release, and this saw the game gaining the title of best-selling game of all time, before the PC game figures were included. The reason for the game’s popularity is not hard to see.
Unlike games where mayhem and destruction are key, this game allows you to sink into the beauty of the Wild West scenery, and to form empathic and sympathetic bonds with other players and NPCs (non-playing characters) in the moments between the action driven sequences – of which there are also many.
You play as Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde Gang, and the linear storyline guides play through set story arcs, with Arthur completing missions and achieving objectives as he goes along, guided by the overall narrative.
Once each mission is complete, Arthur is free to wander the open world, exploring widely and uncovering new places and, occasionally, stumbling onto his next mission which he can play through before returning to his original point to continue from there.
Despite the tightly plotted story arcs, the game is strongly player driven, with your decisions deciding where the game will take you next. You can linger along each journey, catching villains committing crimes, helping people in distress and helping them with side missions, or you can pass them by, ignoring all the NPCs in your determination to get to your next destination.
Great Graphics
Given that the game sets a high consideration on the aesthetics of the game, it will come as no surprise that huge amounts of detail have been put into creating the best looking game play, backgrounds and movement shifts possible.
Shadows and reflections are more detailed and realistic than ever before with higher resolution and sharper definition. Trees, grass and snow all look and ‘feel’ more authentic as you play over them, with subtle alterations in sounds helping to give a realistic impression of the terrain over which you are playing.
Movement is more responsive too, with drawing weapons seeming fluid, and walking, riding and running authentic as far as the graphics and physics engines are concerned.
New Features to Look Out For
Horses – there are new breeds of horses for you to catch, tame and ride, including the speedy Warped Brindle Arabian; the Perlino Andalusian, an excellent hunter; the Red Chestnut Arabian, beautiful and fast; and several others. Try them all and see which best suits Arthur’s style of riding, fighting and tracking
Guns – there are several guns in this game that were only available in the online version of the first game, including the High Roller Revolver and Le Mat revolver, while the M1899 pistol is entirely new to this game
Talismans - keep your eyes open for gadgets and amulets that will give you aid. These include a shark tooth that helps you and your horse work as a team, a turtle shell that increases your health recovery speed (permanently) and a crow beak that boosts your looted ammo (also permanently)

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most immersive video game experiences I've ever had. The stunningly crafted open world, the depth of the characters and the richness of the story are equally impressive. The graphics in the game are beautiful and detailed, as if I've stepped into a real-life Wild West movie. The varied missions and activities provide hours of fun, and the night landscapes and weather changes create an amazing atmosphere. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a true masterpiece, a worthy sequel to the first part, and a game in which all aspects of the gameplay experience come together perfectly to provide players with an immersive experience.
My review is about cons on this game, everybody praises on its multiple wonders but there are loads of mods available for pc... a solid statement against 10/10 rating this game got.
I recommend this game, as a matter of fact, RDR2 is a piece of gaming history, (overrated indeed).
I played this game over 600 hours between PC with mods and Playstation 4 version (unmodded version).
-Story feels like an actual interactive movie (for me it is a very bad design decision), poor designed missions, and tons of filling-in content and story to pretend to be a "based on real life story".
-Cut content (in order to make the game more friendly)
-Less dark comedy than RDR1
- No Mexico
-Easy game to beat. Don t confuse "hard to beat" and "long to beat".
-Unappealing main character.
-Heavy unrealistic Law and Witness System
-Lack of difficult level settings
-Unuseful menus
-Unrealistic PED spawning
-Heavy scripted encounters
-Bad ragdoll physics. Every single character is heavy as a bull, they never stumbling, and it doesn t matter if you are on a climb or on the plains.
-Unconsistent time flow and weather system
-Glitches and bugs (yet)
-Awful restrictions like "Invisible Snippers", "Sinking Boats" and "Invisible Walls".
-Story "holes", unresolved questions.
-NPCs just wandering, no real lifecycle or complete tasking like RDR1. Scripting over randomness.
-Honor system is broken
-No Fame system
-Unrealistic Survivalist mechanics (gimmick).
-Economy system is broken. Weird prices.
-Epilogue map parts (West Elizabeth and New Austin are just empty)
-Censored Themes - Politics biasing
-Poor wildlife
-Unmade building interiors
-Tons of "wisedom" gimmicks
-Dull ragdoll system
-Controller lag
And I left a dozen of cons yet, I leave it for now.
Rating:
Gameplay: 4/10
Story: 5/10
Visuals: 8/10
Mods: +2 Gameplay
Visuals, Map Size, Customization
Role Playing Simulation value, Exploration

Very poor NPC AI, Poor written characters
Combat System, Anti-Western feeling
Heavily Scripted Encounters, lack of random scenarios
I am a fan of this game. I like its graphics . It's worth playing it . In addition, the gaming platform Istant gaming is the best for buying legit keys .
Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played. Even in 2026, the graphics are jaw-dropping, the world feels alive, and the story is cinematic perfection. An absolute masterpiec, stunning visuals, an immersive world, and a story that rivals any movie. Gorgeous world with an epic story!
