Description

The Sims 4: Seasons for PC is, as might be surmised from the name, an expansion pack that brings seasonal changes to the world of the Sims 4. Fans of the game who have already seen the Sims 2 and Sims 3 get their own Seasons expansion pack and some of the elements of both of these appear here, with other unique seasonal content. The changes of season and various holidays are fitted into the calendar for the Sims to enjoy.

About the Game


For some Sims the addition of seasonal changes and holidays may not make any difference: office jobs remain the same no matter what the weather is doing. But for others it can make enormous differences, such as when you are following the brand new gardening career path.

If you are enjoying this career path, spring and summer time will be all about planting and growing your flowers and crops, autumn with harvesting and laying by the results. Then, in winter you can get into flower arranging, sell off your harvested crops or repurpose yourself as a botanist for the duration.

The flower harvest goes in cycles, but there tends to always be something on the go, to keep your garden looking lovely and yourself occupied, but your crops tend to make a dramatic difference, depending on whether they are just sprouting, growing well, fruiting or ready for harvest. Once they have been reaped and your garden beds are fallow, resting until it is spring time and you can start all over again, they look still and quiet, a far cry from summer glory.

Holiday time!


There are four holidays preloaded in this game, plus you can invent your own holiday, slotting it in whenever you feel that your Sims need a break. This can be a sweet holiday like Friendship Day where you do something nice for your friends, or it can be a bit more evil, like Prank Your Neighbour Day! Just remember, whatever you do to them, they can do it back to you, and with interest if they are so inclined!

  • Love Day: the perfect day to send your Sim crush a love token, anonymous card or a letter declaring your feelings for them. Expect lots of hearts, and pink and red décor and a fair amount of giggling as your Sims pair up and head off to who knows where to do who knows what…

  • Harvestfest: loosely allied to Thanksgiving, this holiday brings all your Sims together to eat and be nice to one another, having decorated the house nicely. Then things take a turn for the different with the appearance of three gnomes who must be appeased. You do this by choosing from the variety of gifts that display when you click on them: if they are appeased, they give you a gift, if not, they trash your appliances

  • Winterfest: roughly analogous with Christmas, you decorate your house (by hand, and all the decorations need to be taken down the same way as soon as the holiday is over, so some circumspection might be called for!) and put up a decorated tree. At the appropriate time the Winter Father appears down your chimney and provides presents for the whole family – be sure to choose the right chimney if you have two!

  • New Year’s Eve: pretty much the same as in the real world, your Sims must make resolutions of things they want to achieve in the coming year and there is a countdown to the arrival of the New Year

  • There are other random holidays that occur from time to time: such as Neighbourhood Brawl, a holiday that encourages a neighbourhood battle by way of a holiday!

    Seasons don't come with a new world, but it makes all of them finally alive. This one I can't even imagine playing without. The new deaths are fun, but let's face it, it's the weather changes that make this DLC amazing. The snow is beautiful (and so shiny!), but so is the rain, the storm... And they all come with new activities. Who doesn't like a good snow fight (or mud fight)? And the holidays, which you can personalize as much as you want, are great to play with and add a lot of gameplay. If you only have to choose one pack to buy, this is the one!

    Just wanna say that English isn't my first language so this review may contain grammar mistakes etc.

    I think it is ridiculous to pay for seasons and weather in the game but yeah, this pack is all about that.

    The season and weather system is quite good. Each season takes 1 week which is reasonable and I really like how each map changes based on the season and weater. Seasons obviously only change the weather and how I said the map. The weather itself is also fine, it basically has all of the basic weathers, rain, storm, chilly, hot etc. What I find unfortunate but it is not something big is that you don't get the know the exact temperature, you only know the temperature based on words. The weather though can get annoying, when it's storm, your sims are constantely scared even indoors. I think the sims are also too vulnerable to hot or cold weather. All it takes is to be outside for a while with your everyday outfit and you get a notification about your sims starting to die because of the certain weather.

    Now this pack also comes with holiday system. What's nice is that you can edit, delete, or even create your own holidays, so you can really add holidays even from your cultures or delete for example christmas 'cause you don't celebrate christmas. The holidays themselves work on a pop up, showing you tradition that you can do. During the holidays you also get few new interaction + interaction based on the traditions (like give a present to a sim). What I hate about the holiday is that the game keeps creating new holidays automatically all the time and sometimes you won't even realize. Then you have a whole day of holiday you don't even want your sim the participate in and the next day your sim is feeling sad for not completing any of the traditions.

    Overall I would recommend this pack ONLY if you have the money for it; it's not a must-have pack for me at least. It definitely brings more sense of time to the game, adds more vibes to it and I also think that the holidays system could be better but it's a fine pack, so if you have the money and you really want it, I wouldn't stop you from buying it.

    I decided to install the base game and two EPs that I thought would make Sims 4 most interesting. I chose Seasons and City Living. Seasons adds seasons (like the name says) with weather and seasonal events. I particularly enjoy the little unexpected things, like showering in the rain.

    The Sims 4 give us a new way to play, not like sims 3 on a openworld. Also the graphics are better and is more optimized than Sims 2 or Sims 3.

    yall its been a few days since i bought this and lemme tell you its so worth it, right now on the ea app its 54.99 for me and when it goes on sale it'll be like 22 something and i paid 19 so it's worth it in price and it worked and its so fun playing with seasons, it's like a must for me because i like realistic gameplay. i saw some people say it didn't work which is sad but it worked for me, and i plan on buying more from here because it's cheaper, lemme tell u a funny story of my sim, my dog wanted to go for a walk IN THE RAIN so i told my sim to take her for a walk and i was trying to get her to go home so the wouldnt get electrocuted and it was too late LMAOO anyways its rlly fun

    Code did not work, I tried several times. I downloaded the game today hoping id get a chance to play seasons which is really a cool expansion pack. The code did not work and said it was invalid the whole time.

    Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das macht das Spiel realistischer und es wird alles so liebevoll dargestellt. So viele Details und neue Interaktionen. Die Vogelscheuche ist echt witzig. Ich liebe die Schaukeln. Jetzt fehlt nur noch 'ne Wasserrutsche und vor allem richtige Wendeltreppen und ich wäre glücklich. ^^ Aber wer weiß, die Hoffnung stirbt ja bekanntlich zuletzt. =)

    The second most "complete" expansion to the game. Adds some much needed dynamism to the game without disrupting your play style.The addition of a calendar adds a sense of the passage of time, making the world much more immersive than you'd think!

    • Adds in a lot of the best clothing and hair options
    • Gives you the options to turn on/off certain things to tweak out aspects you don't like
    • Not as "spectacular" as expansions with more tangible content. It's more subtle unlike Cats and Dogs

    Seasons has always been one of my favorite expansions to the Sims game and this is just another great Seasons expansion. It's a lot of fun and adds in a lot of the seasonal fun things that the game is missing otherwise.

    I've been waiting for this DLC ever since the base game came out! It makes the gameplay much more realistic and I just simply adore the new celebration features. The mud puddles and sims autonomously jumping into them is quite annoying but it can be fixed with a mod.

    I really enjoy this game. It adds so much reality toe the game. So much te do. Really great stuff ahead for Sims 4! With Cats and Dogs its even more enjoyable. I love dogs jumping around in puddles. Umbrella's are amazing. Children playing in the snow. People burning in the sun ... something like that haha.
    Having people plant stuff in spring and Autumn. I love it!

    Purchased the game and it works well, however, I noticed that the email and security questions on my Origin account have been changed. I can no longer purchase games through Origin and cannot access my own account. I will never purchase from the site again as they apparently hack your account when you redeem the code.

    Best DLC of the sims in my opinion, totally changes the game. It becomes way more realistic and hosting christmas and halloween parties makes way more sense now. The only minus point I could find is that you can't change your sims birthday

    Seasons in Sims 4 is the best DLC accross the Sims Franchise from TS1 to TS4. I love the unique weather situation in each world. So much gameplay added. The calender feature is incredible especially because you're able to personalize it. Now you feel like you can do a bunch of stuff and it doesn't get so boring quick at all. So much to discover. Now if you had doubts you really shouldn't get here the bundles and start playing. Highly recommend to get all DLCs except may My 1st Pet Stuff to really enjoy it all. I haven't played it really that much because l was more a builder but now l want to play more and start even telling stories. To sum it up: Seasons is a game changer indeed.
