Assassins Creed Odyssey for PC is the latest in the wide-ranging and popular action role-playing series in which the player becomes an assassin in a certain era. There are, to date, ten main games and seventeen spin-off games as well as a lot of other products, such as books and films.
About the Game
As often, with such carefully realised worlds, there are multiple overlapping storylines, some of which the player can heavily influence. The broad storyline deals with the attempt to eradicate an evil Greek cult along with the discovery of evidence of Atlantean creatures and artefacts.
Meanwhile the more intimate story deals with the character’s attempt to reunite and heal his or her family, having been left for dead in their youth.
The game is strongly role-playing, with almost every player’s choice making a difference to the outcome of the quest or mission. The world is highly interactive with plenty of authentic seeming dialogue options, and the opportunity for quests to branch off in a number of ways, which – obviously – provides the option for multiple endings. This means that you can play over areas and quests as often as you like, getting different results each time.
Male/ Female: Spartan/ Athenian – the Choice is Yours
The player chooses to be male (Alexios) or female (Kassandra): a mercenary who is a descendant of the famed Leonidas 1. They have inherited his broken spear and rework the fragments into a new powerful weapon with attendant new powers to be explored and mastered.
You join the battle between Sparta and Athens in 431BC, and as you are a mercenary, you can choose to be on either side, according to your preferences. As the game is highly story-driven, your character can have romantic relationships with NPCs (non-playing characters). You can even choose same-sex partners, if you so desire, making the game effortlessly inclusive.
Trees and Ships (and sealing wax!)
The game allows players to develop their skills by filling up skill trees, of which there are three:
Assassin skill tree: deals with stealth and silent takedowns of enemies
Weapons skill tree: deals with close-up combat using swords, spears and similar weapons
Hunter skill tree: deals with distance combat, such as using a bow and arrow to take down an enemy from far
As well as these skill trees, each piece of equipment is graded and rated and each provides the player with certain benefits. All of these pieces of gear can be upgraded separately to give the player the maximum benefit in any scenario.
The sea combat that was such a hit in Origins has returned, and players can take their battle to the high seas, slicing triremes in half or swinging alongside to board the ship and fight the inhabitants. The ships and setting are appropriate for the game setting so you can indulge in naval combat using Hellenistic-era warships and exploring the Aegean Sea to your heart’s content.
A Bit About Gameplay
The game’s graphics are beautiful and the open world is immense, positively inviting exploration. Each region is depicted so it is distinct from the one before, but all are exquisitely detailed to play through.
The player has a lot of agency within the game, and can choose to do things for their own reasons – or for no reason at all! This adds immeasurably to the charm of the game, as it gets you invested in doing things your way and seeing how it all comes out in the long run.
The game is a beautiful combination of systems, something that might seem like overkill, but is not. The systems work well to create an engaging world that you will not want to leave until you have filled this metre, mastered that weapon, or just had a look over the hill just there, see?
Assassins Creed Odyssey for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.
one of my favorites. Love the adventure of the characters, the gameplay, and the missions are pretty cool . Gret visual graphics . The story Screapt is well planned and done. Amazing DLCs and cool choices
Amazing, fun experience in Ancient Greece! Has a great long story, good characters and solid graphics. You can explore the map for hours and still not be bored. Besides the fact it isn't an Assassin's Creed game because there's barely any assassin related combat besides basic assassinations and air assassinations. (I might have forgot to mention some but basically that's what you'll most likely be using, these 2). It has some elements which may not be liked by the original franchise enjoyers like a weird level scaling system which only increases the HP of the enemy and makes the fight 10x longer, other than that I recommend it if you're searching for a long singleplayer title.
Instant (heh) delivery. PSA though; key needed to be input manually and in lowercase in my instance.
Copying the key over from the website is in capitals. Ubi's own key format guide in the activation menu shows capital letters but that did not work - had to be lowercases.
AC Origins is better in some way, Odyssey is literally the same as Origins but with new techs, they are fun, adds new things and an way bigger map of Greece, the gold edition also gives AC III: Remastered which is nice. The Season pass includes the 2 big DLC. Though the game is more of an RPG than the older Assasin's Creed like IV Black Flag. Honestly, buy it if you like Greece and RPGs, even without liking RPGs you can still like it, the start of the game is boring and slow, not really interesting but when you unlock most things being stealth and raiding bases is impossible to get you bored.
Huge map of Greece
New weapons etc.
The game looks awesome and runs great
AC Origins but it's not Origins
RPG, I like AC for not being too RPG, ACO is too RPG.
I'll start with saying that I'm not an old player of the assasin's creed saga. I played only origins and this one for the moment (looking for plying valhalla and shadows) the game is enjoyable but not solid. Some bugs will interrupt the expirience, but in the end it's well written, with a good combat system and a good skill tree. U will not be able to kill one shot many pg unlike other games of the saga but this is a completely different kind of game indeed.
If U are a skilled player U may want to play on high difficoulty because the bosses ain't hard in my opinion
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is one of the best games in the series, after Assassin's Creed the Flag, the story of this game captures you inside in a special way, much better than the other in the series. I hope they also remaster Assassin's Creed The Flag.
One of the best games I have ever played! Very large map with many awesome quests and gear. As greek player I find annoying the frequent use of word "malaka" as cursing in an era (530 BC) that ancient Greeks did not use that word. It is a modern time cursing after 1900.
Great game!I played it and finished 99% of the game.I dont know how to get that 1% but i dont care that much.I reccomend buying with season pass because its better with it and it isnt that much expensive
beutiful graphis
interesting story
a lot of bugs
a lot of bugs in the story(it doesnt save every time)
