The game is different from the first game. Instead of leading you into these mechanics you need to suffer and find out. You sooner or later get the hang of it and have a faster progression. The start is pretty slow and rough though.

I finished the game in 40-50 hours. The game was enjoyable and it was nice to see the amounts of content they put in. Lovely and memorable characters. With my metric of 1 buck per hour of gameplay it definitely paid off. I didn't do the collectible and steelsoul achievements but that means there would still be a bit of stuff to do.

Just for the price and the current state of the gaming industry, give this game a shot. Twenty bucks for a games full price is great.

I hate everything about it. Boring and irritating. I liked Hollow Knight except for it being absurdly hard, but everything else about it was fantastic. This I have not one positive comment for, I returned it.
