Thanks to modern technology, developers can design worlds that are ever larger, more detailed, and above all, more sumptuous. These memorable virtual locations can be completely original, based on well-known pop culture franchises, or even taken from a game released several years ago. Survival horror, Souls-like, RPG, action-adventure... All genres are represented. So let's take a look at the titles in this selection.

When it comes to stunning graphics, it would be inconceivable not to mention Red Dead Redemption 2. The game from Rockstar Games delivers a breathtaking representation of the United States in 1899. Several years after its release, this production continues to impress thanks to its masterful technique and flawless modeling of its settings. Once again, immersion is guaranteed! The same goes for Cyberpunk 2077, with its city of Night City boasting absolutely insane architecture. This city is undoubtedly the most beautiful ever imagined for a video game. The buildings rise to dizzying heights, the streets are teeming with life, and this urban setting contrasts perfectly with the Badlands that surround the city. This makes it a unique map in the history of gaming and a true architectural feat in the virtual world.

A true revelation of 2025 and undoubtedly a strong contender for the “game of the year” award, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also deserves its place in our selection. With its dark and fantastical universe inspired by France's Belle Époque, Sandfall Interactive's title has won the hearts of gamers. This turn-based RPG tells a poignant story carried by charismatic characters. It has been propelled into the spotlight thanks to its captivating settings created using Unreal Engine 5. We take great pleasure in exploring every nook and cranny in search of secrets and other curiosities to be found everywhere. The French studio has achieved an impressive feat by concocting a formula and a universe worthy of the greatest AAA games of this generation.

What makes you want to immerse yourself body and soul in a video game world is also the fact that you find yourself in universes that are familiar to everyone. In this respect, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has lived up to all expectations. The game from MachineGames is based on an original storyline featuring the most famous adventurer of all time. The Vatican, Shanghai, Giza, and even the Himalayas serve as the backdrop for this incredible adventure. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy also got its own game, which also focuses on a completely original story. Finally, the remake of Silent Hill 2 opens the doors to the famous horror town where James Sunderland tries to find his deceased wife. While the foggy town is anything but welcoming, it is nonetheless fascinating and even more realistic than in the PS2 era.
