The best games this June 2026

After a particularly busy May in terms of game releases, it’s now time to set our sights on June’s lineup. While significantly quieter than the previous month, this new month that's packed with conferences and announcements of all kinds still has a few surprises in store across various platforms. Without further ado, let’s take a look at our first selection of the best titles for June 2026!

Developed by Paraglacial and published by THQ Nordic, Fatekeeper stands out as an intriguing RPG thanks to its first-person perspective reminiscent of the genre’s classics. It blends brutal physical combat, elemental magic, and open-ended progression in a particularly immersive dark fantasy universe.

Long-awaited, Gothic 1 Remake brings one of the most iconic RPGs of the early 2000s up to date. This new version takes advantage of Unreal Engine 5 while retaining the dark atmosphere and living world that made the original famous.

Sports fans will be in for a treat in the first half of the month, with no fewer than four titles. Pro Cycling Manager 26 and Tour de France 2026 are arriving to the delight of cycling and racing fans. Those who prefer ball sports will likely turn to eFootball Kick-off on Switch 2, or to NBA The Run. This game takes a more narrative-driven approach than traditional simulations and aims to tell the story of a player’s rise through the world of professional basketball. Its more cinematic pacing and ambitious presentation set it apart from typical sports franchises.

Two titles stand out in particular in the survival genre. Solarpunk offers an optimistic vision of the future where green technology, aerial construction, and cooperation are at the heart of the experience. Players build floating communities, cultivate their resources, and explore a vast, colorful world. On the other hand, Witchspire plunges us into a world of witches and magic, where numerous familiars await. No more manual farming: magic spells do it for you!

A few indie and original projects also caught our attention. Beastro is a restaurant management game mixed with deckbuilding. It blends peaceful life simulation, cooking, and card battles presented as a puppet theater. Frog Sqwad focuses on cooperation and dynamic battles featuring a team of over-trained frogs. Its ever-present humor and fast-paced gameplay should make it an excellent multiplayer game to play with friends.

That wraps up our first selection of the best games for June 2026. While this initial list isn’t particularly extensive, some titles are worth checking out and bring a breath of fresh air to their genres. Our second selection will be available tomorrow, so you can discover the other interesting releases coming this month. Check out our full first list below with the trailers, and see you tomorrow for the rest!
