The best games to play on PS5 in 2026 (Part 2)

The PS5’s game library is obviously not limited to the few blockbusters already mentioned in our first selection. Since its launch, the console has welcomed an impressive variety of games, ranging from PlayStation exclusives to Western RPGs, Japanese titles, and indie experiences that have defined this generation. Here are 10 new titles that also deserve a prominent place in the libraries of PS5 owners.

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker and Miles Morales join forces in a spectacular adventure that lets you explore New York with even greater freedom. With ultra-smooth movement, fast-paced combat, and showdowns against Venom and Kraven, the game stands as one of the greatest superhero adventures on PS5.

Housemarque returns with a new sci-fi action game driven by particularly fast-paced gameplay: Saros. Its mysterious world, challenging battles, and evolving mechanics make it one of the must-watch experiences for fans of a good challenge. Inspired by the famous Journey to the West, Black Myth: Wukong immerses players in a mythological China populated by fantastical creatures and impressive bosses. Its spectacular combat, sumptuous art direction, and exceptionally diverse bestiary make it a must-play action adventure.

The remake of Demon's Souls elevates the game that laid the foundation for the Souls formula with a completely reimagined experience for the PS5. Its dark atmosphere, challenging combat, and formidable bosses still make it an excellent introduction to the genre. The excellent Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 stands out for its Belle Époque-inspired world and its turn-based combat system enhanced with real-time mechanics. Its sumptuous art direction, melancholic storytelling, and unique atmosphere make it one of the most memorable experiences of this generation.

Remedy has delivered two titles of exceptional quality. On the one hand, Alan Wake 2 offers a particularly ambitious horror experience in which Alan Wake and Saga Anderson find themselves at the center of a strange supernatural case. Its staging, oppressive atmosphere, and narrative which constantly blurs the line between reality and fiction make it one of the most distinctive narrative games on the PS5. On the other hand, the very recent Control Resonant expands the franchise’s supernatural universe with a new adventure centered on Dylan Faden, who is confronted with mysterious paranormal phenomena.

Often unfairly overlooked, Deathloop is a particularly original offering from Arkane that follows two assassins trapped in a time loop. Combining stealth, supernatural powers, and exploration of an island you’ll need to learn by heart, the game rewards both experimentation and observation.

This second selection once again showcases the full diversity of the PS5 catalog, which is just as capable of hosting spectacular blockbusters as it is challenging RPGs or much more unconventional narrative experiences. And while games like GTA VI, Phantom Blade Zero, and Until Dawn 2 are still set to enrich the platform, the current generation of PlayStation is far from having said its last word.
