After an initial selection dominated by major Nintendo franchises and some of the system’s most ambitious titles, it’s time to turn our attention to other hidden gems in the Switch 2 catalog. The console now features particularly rich RPGs, acclaimed indie games, meticulously crafted remasters, and even several experiences that can’t be found anywhere else under the same conditions. Above all, this second selection proves that the console isn’t solely reliant on Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon.
With its HD-2D aesthetic blending pixel art and modern visual effects, Octopath Traveler 0 offers a particularly expansive adventure. Between its revenge-driven storyline, its numerous party members, and the rebuilding of your village, this RPG has all the ingredients to captivate fans of the genre.
You can also play as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered to hunt monsters and get caught up in particularly dark political intrigues: that’s what this must-play RPG has to offer, and it also includes the excellent expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. With its challenging combat, sumptuous environments, formidable bosses, and particularly rich exploration, Hollow Knight: Silksong stands out as one of the best examples of the modern Metroidvania genre.
Just as fast-paced and addictive as its predecessor, Hades II, lets you play as Melinoe, Princess of the Underworld, who seeks to end the reign of the Titan of Time. This roguelite offers a wide variety of weapons, powers, and customization options to keep each playthrough fresh, while its smooth gameplay and ideal format for short sessions make it a great companion for the Switch 2.
Sometimes, happiness comes down to nothing more than a high-pressure water jet and a particularly dirty surface to clean… and in that regard, there’s nothing better than PowerWash Simulator 2 for a few moments of pure satisfaction. Between exploring Hogwarts, learning spells, solving puzzles, and the franchise’s signature humor, LEGO Harry Potter Collection offers a true dose of nostalgia in a universe we all know well.
This second selection confirms that the Switch 2’s catalog is now extensive enough to go far beyond just Nintendo’s own titles. From JRPGs to action games, indie experiences, multiplayer titles, and epic adventures designed to be taken anywhere, the console offers a particularly welcome variety.
